Haven't you linked that before?
Cant remember to be honest, when i read it last night i had read the Norwegian study before, but the German seemed a new one on me - unless i had and forgot.
Haven't you linked that before?
In the U.S. 22 states where restrictions have been lifted (usually 'red' states) infections are on the rise again - by 30% in some cases.
Forewarned is forearmed.
Over here right now with only minor lifting of restrictions:
"Covid-19 infection rates are still on the rise in 141 places in England, with more than a third of local authority areas reporting increases, new data reveals.
In the week up to March 24, the infection rate went up in 45% of the council areas in England and stayed level in six areas.
In the other 168 areas (54% of the 314 local authority districts in England) the infection rate went down, according to the latest data from Public Health England (PHE).

What does it matter if he linked it before? Is it inconvenient?Haven't you linked that before?
Lol.Numbers across the UK are collapsing so your article is picking nonsense statistics. Loads of states in USA have reopened and are successfully managing.
It looks like your dream of a permanently locked down society is becoming very unlikely Dave.
Edit: wonder why they picked the week up to 24th March for the article... schools reopened and we tested double the amount of people.
Lol.
A/ it's not my article, I linked to it.
B/ it's "nonsensical" because it shows 141 places in England with rising levels of Covid19...even before we see resttrictions being lifted in any substantial way?
Dear me.
They've plateaued. Which means in some areas they decline, in others they rise. Roughly equally according to the article linked.Look at the statistics, week on week its dropping nationwide. Thats a simple fact that you can see from a quick Google search.

1% of those arriving in the country are being quarantined. I think it's safe to say they have abandoned suppression and are running with some numb nuts belief that having half the UK population partially vacinated will stop another deadly surge in autumn/winter. It wont. They know this, but they get support from people desperate to get out and mix again. This decline is during a lockdown though - case numbers are going to go up when restrictions are lifted; even Johnson admits that is a likely possibility.
What is important to know is what we are going to do in terms of control measures when restrictions are lifted; it seems that the trace bit of test and trace has been binned off (at least in its current form).
This will leave us with a choice between either lockdowns or doing nothing because the most vulnerable are now protected against current and likely mutations as options, neither of which are particularly attractive policy options.

It is THE most cynical and irresponsible government this country has ever had. It should be toppled.

Deaths of over 70s have dropped by over 98%. The vaccines are clearly doing something. Covid cases barely matter. Only hospitalisation and deaths really are key statistics.
No worries. It's just that the article is 10 days old and I remember reading it, or something very similar, and it's usually your good self who links these informative heath related articles. I also tend to remember the article came with comments from the poster along the lines that at least it can be identified and treated. again the sort of thing that you would say.Cant remember to be honest, when i read it last night i had read the Norwegian study before, but the German seemed a new one on me - unless i had and forgot.
I thought I'd rather respond to the organ grinder than his monkey Dave. What does it matter if he linked it before? Is it inconvenient?
If the cap fits its very apt. Suppose lemmings!Has there ever been a more cringeworthy term for people?
It does matter though - the more prevalent it is, the greater the rate of mutation and the greater likelihood of (current) vaccine resistant versions emerging.
We’ve got to get away from this idea of letting it spread; otherwise we might find ourselves in a while with hospitalisation (and death) rates spiking again. We do not need lockdowns to stop spread, just effective vigilance.
