lol
I have to be mentally ill to have reservations about a vaccine now banned for under 60s in the biggest nation in Europe?
Ok.
I never said you were mentally ill. That's not fair.

Ok.
Some would think its a conspiracy. There's similar evidence (very little!) of blod clots being related to the Pfizer vaccine, yet not a sniff. Similarly, Pfizer also having production issues, not a sniff.
Germany's vaccine roll out has been a mess, they aren't in a position to be stopping and starting it.
Are people much more likely to suffer from covid or suffer from a blood clot from the vaccines?
The answer to that is simple, so they should stop being daft - same with Norway, same with any other country that is stopping and suspending stuff, unless they have definitive evidence that there is actually a massive problem, and not just 0.01148%.
Not banned mate.lol

It would be a waste of a vaccine for you to have the second one, then, so you should give it a miss. If I had no faith in it there would be no way I would get it. But of course you will toddle along and get it like a good little boy. Then probably complain about how poor the process was. Again.Germans pondering whether anyone who had the first AZ jab should be switched to another vaccine for their second.
That's what should happen here. I'd far prefer not to have to go back and have another shot of it. I have zero faith in this vaccine. None.
It's ludicrous.
I don't give a flying one about AZ as a company. I don't really care whether I get AZ or Pfizer or Moderna or whatever.
There's risk with literally anything but this risk is so, so small, compared to a much bigger (comparatively) risk of actually catching COVID - or the continued socio-economic impact which lockdowns and restrictions are causing.
The risk for who? Over 60’s? Over 50’s?
Look, I’m not anti vaxx (I know that’s like starting a conversation with “I’m not racist but”) but we can’t just write off any decision another country makes regarding the vaccine rollout as simply being political. I will happily agree that people like Dave sometimes seem to look for any opportunity to slaughter our scientists, anything the UK does and almost seem to relish in stories like this (I don’t obviously believe that he enjoys it but it sometimes comes across that way), but in this instance the decision from Germany seems to be based upon the fact that they are concerned the benefits of vaccination with the AZ vaccine for younger people (at least whilst this issue is investigated) do not outweigh the risks of Covid for most people in that cohort. Isn’t that just sensible? The blood disorder they reported is incredibly repair so for them to announce 31 suspected incidents would be off the charts.
The problem is we are so desperate as a country to end lockdown that the attitude of “just stick it in us” is what’s currently prevailing. We’re in a race against time. It’s why talk about vaccine passports gets bandied about- it’s nothing more than an incentive to “encourage people” to take the jab ASAP. The threat of exclusion from social life. It’s also why these stories get dismissed as “political”. Seriously, what does Canada have to gain by also halting the jab for people under 60? There is no gain at all for them.
At this moment in time it’s obvious we want to get as much coverage from the vaccine as possible in order to build herd immunity. That makes sense. But I know you’re around my age (mid 20’s), so can you honestly say you’re getting the vaccine because you’re worried about Covid? Or are you getting the vaccine for the benefit of society and because you’ve just had enough? Because the latter whilst noble shouldn’t be the main reason to rush to get a vaccine.
And as I said to you: are they counting it?
Let's deal with what we do know - 31 in 2.7m. How are we accounting for that not exactly statistically insignificant figure then?
You'd do better pondering the answer to that than lend blind support to a vaccine.
If the Germans say it's ok to do that and allow their population to do it, I'd go with it.
Let's see what they say.
This story is so big that it's being sat on in the UK. We have seen about 18m-20m(?) AZ vacccine shots in this country and we're supposed to believe what other European nations are finding aren't there in the UK in any numbers that match those other European nations. Where's the investigation of this over here? The risk for who? Over 60’s? Over 50’s?
