The agreement is for the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to deliver a total of 100 million doses."

Just on that,

£65.5 = 100 doses.
335 mill euro = 300mill doses.

Looks like someone was paying for the development alright, sounds very fair doesn't it.

The numbers have remained in the 5-6K band for the full 2 weeks......

May see seasonal effects which will tend to have a reducing effect on the rate coming into play soon counter balancing some of the upward pressure. Undoubtedly relaxing will exert upward pressure and has to be done very cautiously indeed but late Spring and Summer seasonal effects plus vaccinations should act against it.

The variant first discovered in South Africa does cause a potentially larger problem to the vaccines than other earlier mutations and it's becoming more prominent across the channel in many European countries accounting for up to 10% of all cases in some.

Indeed, hospital admissions, hospital population, and deaths are the real measures, they are all falling in the U.K.....
