The Uk scientists for genome sequencing are world-leading. The Oxford AZ vaccine is the best solution for a global programme as developing nations lack the required cold chain facility for mRNA. The UK scientific community identified the benefit of the extended vaccination programme, of supportive treatments etc. SAGE advise the government decides.

After stating you would rather be treated abroad it seemed only right to say a little about their systems too.

Always find it astonishing that people can so easily pull the NHS apart on here. It is of course not perfect but christ it's amazing.

Hate to think what it would have cost me to still be here today if I lived somewhere like the USA.

Treatment for Cystic Fibrosis since birth, a double lung transplant at 21 and now the medication that goes with that (14 years so far). Safe to say I owe my life to the NHS and the brilliant people within it. The mere fact I am fit and healthy now is a miracle in itself.

Government and SAGE has been awful in particular with lockdown debate, Schools are safe which was a joke, and face mask, Shia law by back door debacle. And with lockdown if you followed polling most people were in favour despite Government and SAGE procrastinating on the issue.

When left to its own devices such as vaccination programme it can do amazing things, although hasten to add the armed forces local authorities and volunteers have significant roles in vaccination programme.
But don't you worry Government been busy making sure NHS (England) will give its customers that USA experience. Waiting list were increasing even before pandemic struck.

Yeah the government is doing it's best to send us down the USA route of insurance. Make it perform badly and then say it's now working.
