Are those like me who had their first Pfizer jab in January now likely to have their 2nd jab delayed beyond 12 weeks fron the first one. There was originally only supposed to be 3 weeks between jabs in the first place before the government moved the goalposts.
I have no problems with the NHS and other agencies who are rolling out the vaccine programme but why are we getting into arguments about delays in supply?
Do the "government" actually have a clue what's happening?

No. You'll get your second dose as planned.

The french flip flopping is quite mad, but I do think to dismiss this as political willy waving would be short sighted. I don’t see what any country would gain by going down this route unless there was some scientific reason behind it.

I do wonder how all this news will come to impact the uptake in vaccines amongst people up to the age of 40. Amongst my peer group (20’s) we all want the vaccine but mostly to expedite the ending of restrictions. None of us our concerned really about our health. If too many young people come to believe they’d rather take their chances with Covid than a blood clot (unproven obviously at this point) how would this impact the build up of immunity in society?

Just want to add, neither myself or anyone I know are anti-vaccine. But I’d be lying if since these stories started coming out that a few of my mates aren’t that bothered from a health perspective about the vaccine rollout to our age group being delayed. We’re all more bothered about take of vaccine certification and how the roadmap out of lockdown could be impacted.

That's precisely what this is.

What they're gaining is an excuse for low vaccine take-up beyond their own incompetency.

You really couldn’t make this crap up. France might just as well have continued the ban. They are now saying that the vaccine is dodgy for younger people, so why would the older population want it, are they expendable. This is yet another attempt at face saving while putting the lives of their people at risk. This half hearted U turn will now be played out in different forms across the EU....a tragedy in the making.......

What we’re seeing IMO is every sovereign country has its own medical regulators and all do things a little bit differently.
