The EU have only been using AZ for just over 6 weeks...they have had a failed fight with AZ, reported it was only 8% effective, banned it for over 65, over 70, over 50, rubbished it publicly, called it quasi-ineffective, all while complaining that they weren’t getting enough of it, banned its export from Italy to Australia because they wanted to keep it, gone cap in hand and begged the USA to let them have their AZ, made a complete arse of their vaccinations and now put it back on ‘pause’ while investigating a minute number of clotting cases with no causal link from AZ and with similar clotting cases while using the German Pfizer vaccine. Six weeks...

So everything done by individuals within EU territory can be attributed to the EU. Sounds fair enough.

I said that they are seemingly continuing to politicise the vaccine situation and that EU leaders have clearly stoked fears without any clear justification.

I have to say I was ok with the AZ jab, given that I was below the age limits where wobbling over the jab

What issues have there been in the U.K. ?....

There's been cases of blood clotting post vaccination (yes, as there have been for Pfizer, but the issues doesn;t seem to have been a particular one associated with it in its world wide role out).

The various blood clot issues and deaths, are explained. It was cos of a blood clot.

The issue is are they linked to the AZ.

If I turn it down I'd be hard pressed to get another slot in the near future.

You know what I'm saying. It's a gamble worth taking - and I find it easy to take that gamble given the odds...but there is no question these reports are unsettling. And it's pointless denying it.

If there were thousands of cases of clotting/thrombosis I’d agree with you but there’s literally been around what 20-30 cases. There’s been around the same with the Pfizer, why hasn’t that been paused?

Ilve never had a reaction to a vaccine before, and Ilm not expecting one with this (beyond the usual ones AZ have held their hands up to).

Tbf mate, we don't have access to all the data, and countries will have different regulatory thresholds. It's just a precaution like

The yanks have swerved it when offered until their own results on it are in.

That is the cautious approach we should have seen here, only the murderer wanted a good news story to cover his arse over failing to shut down the country twice and causing tens of thousands of needless deaths. Yay for the 20 odd million vaccinated though.
