Those mega sites WILL be efficient.

It's the smaller non-NHS venues Ilm concerned with. I get the impression from the related experience of others that its nowhere near what it ought to be.
Possibly, but the ones being done at the civic center here seem to have gone smoothly and people are speaking highly of it. I can't speak for your area personally as I have no idea where you live but I am yet to hear anything negative from anywhere.

Thats the idea, yeah.

I am sure that some have been a few minutes longer though. Elderly frail folk would need some assistance for example.

Feedback Ilm getting on the AZ jab: average 30 minute process, in and out.

Maybe they're lying?

There is a risk that has been run, a calculated one which so far has paid off - for the benefit of a lot of people.

That's my point.

So why does that not require evidence to back it up?

I mean you’ve demanded the people who called it a risk must provide some (even though they have), whilst then making a statement like it’s “paid off for the benefit of a lot of people”, for which you’ve got no evidence at all.

When are these events likely to have occured? Immediately after the vaccination or hours or days or weeks?

From the data i looked at 4 events came in the days after the AZ jab, directly linked from the concerning batch. The batch in question had 1 mill doses, sent to 17 EU countries.

The rest of the data i looked at it didn't give specifics on time frame post vaccination.

Its something to keep an eye on but i wouldn't over panic, 22 cases of a thromboembolic event isnt above the mean in any general population cohort anyway, vaccine or no to be honest. To be fair i think you also have to factor in that most EU countries are getting through their most vulnerable categories at the moment so likely they have underlying health conditions that may have made them vulnerable to a thromboembolic event anyway. I think the concern is the age of the nurse who died, 49 so really worthwhile to keep an eye on and review, but it wouldn't stop me taking AZ if I was offered it at the moment.

My understanding is Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Luxembourg have stopped dosing from the concerning batch as opposed to not dosing AZ at all, Denmark i think have suspended AZ entirely at the moment, but im open to correction on that as i looked at last night and it might have changed since then.

All packed into a poorly ventilated room?
For some socially distancing has been an issue - for others it's waiting times.

I asked a question on people's experiences of (especially) non-NHS run vaccination sites.

It seems a relevany=t question to ask given there's been 25 million vaccinated in a short period of time. Itls unlike any vaccination before because of the fear of transmission.

Thanks. That makes sense.

These are reported cases however. Who knows. At the very least it should be noted as a potential side effect of the vaccine.

There are not any non-NHS run sites.

There are plenty of non-NHS owned locations being used; just like every single year for the flu jabs.

It makes me think of the detail of the deals and rights agreed between nations and big pharma. The EU deal has negotiated accountability & legal recourse with the pharmaceuticals in the event of any adverse effects of the vaccines.

So hopefully this nurses family and others effected will in some way be able get justice etc if its found that an error has been made - if that is their wish.

My correction: 'non-NHS sites'.

The lad who got his at Anfield said it was sound. Pretty sure @peteblue had his at a local sports hall. It really makes no difference, clinically, where they jab you, as long as you SD and mask up.

As for your 30 minute from in to out, I could imagine at the mass venues there being longer queues, obvs if you think about it, cos folk might arrive earlier than they need due to not being used to the place/parking, that sort of thing.

No, you must answer the question: why do you support a Tory Government at every turn - a government that's overseen a catastrophe of biblical proportions on this island and why do you continue to endorse their policies?
Ahhh so this is all just been a political point scoring exercise Dave? you do surprise me!

For those who've had the jab, what are people's experience of the vaccination sites (conditions / efficiency). Heard a few horror stories, especially in places adapted to roll out the vaccine as opposed to the NHS sites:
Me and the wife went to Broadgreen hospital last week, in and out took well over and hour, SD none existent not great.
