Fantastic set up. As was the wife's.

Even by this threads standards, there has been some truly bizarre stuff getting posted today.

Who`d have thought that the vaccines would be getting administered by Stavros from the kebab shop, next to the wheelie bins, at the back of his takeaway.

Local primary school here has had to close again already due to covid outbreaks.... in my opinion it’s still too soon to be opening places up

As long as they close the school and the kids are sent back home and are isolating along with the rest of the households, then there won’t be any outbreaks or spikes let alone lockdowns to worry about.

It’s still however totally cr@p though that the kids are losing their interaction with friends again, not to mention not long after seeing them again while missing out on education.

The local Tesco has had to send 19 staff home this morning and require them to get tested and to isolate, my daughter is working there at the moment (albeit driving a van) , she’s hoping she doesn’t get pinged to isolate again as she’s had to do this twice previously

The infection levels...coming down nicely now...will shoot through the roof again soon.

The reason: the Tory Death Cult AKA the Covid *Recovery* Group want kids back in school to alleviate their parents and get them back into work.

We're heading for another surge prior to the summer.

Wake up people, these people dont give a flying one about the vulnerable and their survival. They want profits. Bottom line.

Only you could emphasise 22 events out of millions rather than focus on the plus side.

Your concerned by the vaccine. You don't like it because its been brought in by the government who unfortunately you despise. You emphasise supposed horror stories from AZ sites administering the jab.

My honest advice would be speak to your doctor for reassurances as no amount of data, positive experiences etc is going to change your view as its obviously the jab the tories have put the mortgage on. Its also likely the jab you get as a lot of Pfizer led vaccination centres are being stood down.

Real world data suggests its fantastic. Let that be the determination to your views on it. Not random rare events.

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital rather than Broadgreen Hospital ?, that’s where I went and I was surprised it was so busy. I kept my distance as best I could. It got me done a couple of weeks earlier than waiting for a letter.

Yeah that’s were we got done, when we got there we queued up in the corridor which was crowded with people waiting for the vaccine and also being used for general hospital traffic, 5 minutes after joining the queue we looked behind us and the queue was right down the corridor. After a couple of minutes a lady asked us for our Ref number which we didn’t have, nor did the lad in front of us or the people in front of him, it turns out that the website should’ve given out a reference number which it didn’t. All those without a number were told to queue on the other side of the door way, so there was a massive queues on both sides of the door way, so when we eventually got into the vaccs centre we had to re- register all this with no SD in place. As I said not the best experience but it may well have been a one off. Going by what people have said on this thread it seems the vast majority have had good experiences.

I'll no dount be getting it very soon - the AZ jab.

However, this isn't me with this data, it;s scientists...and it's 5 different governments that have pulled it so far.

If this were normal times the AZ vaccine would be still in trials after these incidents.

Again Dave the big difference is the vaccines, the infections and testing numbers may well go up but as long as people keep getting called forth for their shots, the deaths should stay down

The CRG may want everything brought forward now, but that’s what Whitty was warning against the other day and that’s why there were 5 week gaps put in between each stage, so they can monitor infection and death rates in that period

But Whitty has underlined that the vaccines wont take amongst many of the vulnerable, and if there;'s a surge this summer there could be anothrer 30,000 killed because of that and the fact other vulnerable people haven't had the jab yet.
