I'm afraid I dont think we're out of this by any means. IMO any vaccine impact will be blunted by nowhere near universal take up of it, and the fact that we'll see production and distribution problems with the vaccines. Also, the only real way of supressing the virus is by hunting it down - and I have zero faith this country will have what it takes to either pursue such a hunt or the discipline for what it involves.

Better next year, but a long way off normality. There's a naive belief in this vaccine by some, and a wilful ignorance by others who just want the excuse to get back to the old normal and will use the vaccines as an excuse to cut loose.
JVT reported greater than 90% of vulnerable groups having taken the vaccine, right down to 70 year olds

So far my missus has booked :

Cartmel races weekend with the girls.
A long weekend in Benidorm with the girls.
A weekend walking up Snowdon with her mate.
And an all dayer at the cricket - I`m in included in this one .

She hasn`t finished yet either lol
@COYBL25 , sorry lad but the girls and the mate are me. She’s insatiable, can you do me a favour and get her to cancel

Tbf because my medical address showed up as Hull, work related, she told me to advise them I had been vaccinated so not sure how the system works nationally

It’s on the computer, they have your name, address and medical details, you have a card showing you have had the first dose, stop panicking...when it gets near to the 12 weeks for your second, if you haven’t been contacted phone your GP.......

Unfortunately because all us old buggers need a second dose, you won’t get your first until Christmas, while we’re all in the pub with our vaccine passports and having a cracking time......sorry......

I;m probably being a bit thick here, but my question as we move into thre nice weather (given this is strongly seasonal in nature) is how we differentiate between falling case numbers through seasonal impact (as was the case last year) and what the achievement of the vaccines are.

I'm sure there's some obvious way of distinguishing.
There probably isnt an obvious way of distinguishing, which probably suits you just perfect. The gnats piss ain't doing jack... Just the lovely sunshine.
