Exactly and not forgetting Ursula von der Leyen who said the the UK had compromised on safety
of the AZ vaccine d. The effect this has had on the vaccine roll out in France & Germany has
been devastating. They put politics in front of the health and well being of EU citizens.
Criminal to say the least.

In England the patient numbers have fallen 668 in a day to 11,781. It was 15,018 last Friday.

I see Van Tam has been using football references at the briefing.

Hospital figures - 359 deaths were announced today, up 35 on yesterday and down 35 on last Friday. 307 deaths were in English hospitals, up 53 on yesterday and down 8 on last week. The 7 day rolling average falls to 328.57

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 345 deaths were announced today, up 22 on yesterday and down 188 on last Friday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 356.43

For the 60 day cut off, 579 deaths were announced today, up 154 on yesterday and down 147 on last Friday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 504.29

A lot flatter than that because the majority of the country have or will be vaccinated over the next year, February 2022 will be like February 2020 before everything really began to take hold

It’s madness mate, personally I’d give it a bit of tough love, if you refuse a vaccine, you go to the end of que. The only thing I can think of logically is people don’t want to be waiting around for three months for a second dose, if they don’t need to.

J&J are due for a decision by the FDA today and the EU in a couple of week, first deliveries expected in April all going according to plan. I think the UK approved will come after as their first delivery all going well is in July I believe.

Re the bold part I think this is what GER is doing, as far as I can tell (hard to keep track with all the different regions).

Not exaggerating when I say Macron should face charges for what he said regarding the AZ vaccine.

Without doubt he will kill hundreds of people because of it. All because of petty politics.

Frank Montgomery even worse IMO considering he's a medical doctor and head of the World Medical Association.

They enter your NHS number into the system just before you get the jab so would have thought that was automatic

You'd expect the cases to start dropping and then stay flat all summer. There'll be a few spikes as things open up but by and large managable.

Come October/November, we might see a rise in hospitalisations, but deaths will stay low. This is probably what to expect for the next two winters, surely.

The vaccines make this thing a lot less deadly. It then becomes about using other things (test and trace, mask wearing etc, perhaps the need to crutail certain events if their is the chance of a larger spike) on top of that, along with variant-specific boosters - which they are already working on, Pfizer reckon they've cracked the SA one already - for those who need them.
