The very real problem is that tens of thousands of people have had pre booked holidays from last year carried over from last year to this year.

What do you do about them ?

Our holiday abroad last year was carried over and If we’re able to, we’ll be going this Summer. This is based on the fact that by then me and my missus will be vaccinated by then.

Oh I just meant over the course of this current lockdown/last few months of on and off lockdown. I can't see how loads of people are going abroad...

Its almost like vax experts advised the likely time frame from first jabs to medical improvements, based on that thing called experience, and advised accordingly.

The same vax experts who have told this government that you stick wityh a 3 week gap between 1st and 2nd jabs or they run the risk of losing their ability to offer protection.

If you cant see the media/back bench Tory co-ordination of this moment you have to question yourself.

And the vaccines are going to make it a much smaller issue once they are fully out in the population.

There's also evidence that every vaccine works against every variant for reducing hospitilsation.

And, they're already working on tweaking the vaccines to handle new variants.

What changes in a month? Families can meet up outside? That's been happening ever since this thing started so that won't have any impact anyway

I know they don't know what they're doing - a load of us kicking off on an internet forum isn't doing anything to change that

I'm not. But right now it's the key step.

We have to have test, track and trace in place for when stuff opens up fully. I agree with that.

But the vaccine is already having an impact and now it's proven. The key to beating COVID isn't hiding away, it's reducing its impact to nothing more than an everyday bug. People still get ill from everyday bugs, they might even die, but the likelihood of it is very, very slim.

Keep in mind that COVID itself, for a lot of people who get it, is no worse than a bad cough and/or fever, then the vast majority of people already have a fair head start.

Man the vaccine has kicked my arse this morning, felt fine going to bed but I’ve woke up feeling punch drunk, headache, dizziness and nausea, took 2 paracetamol so hopefully that kicks in soon.

Sounds to me mate that it's just finally sunk in that we beat the rs at the pit. I haven't had the vaccine yet but I'm displaying the same symptoms!
