Yeah, we will see how much trust they have in the vaccine when the blueprint for lifting restrictions is released

Little to do with that.

The vast majority of that 15m haven't been fully vaccinated. They've had one dose. The vaccines work in terms of stopping serious illness - that much is known and proven, across all age groups.

They'll release the blueprint in the weeks to come but imo, just carry on jabbing as we are for the next month. Don't risk it with anything - schools included - until we're getting really deep into those 1-9 categories.

I suppose the first thing that they want to check is safety which is why the number is small.
Fortunately, the evidence is pretty strong that it doesn't seem to cause serious issues in children so there is less urgency for this trial.
The number seems so small that I’m not even sure it will do that though in any statistically significant way, for comparison Pfizer has recruited over 2000 for its trial of 12-15 year olds.

And whilst the current Covid strains don’t seem to be harmful for the majority of kids we need to ensure that they sre vaccinated in case of mutations and also to (hopefully) reduce transmission to their mire vulnerable families and teachers.

In the central city of Barra do Garças, officials made little care packages of azithromycin, ivermectin, chloroquine and the painkiller dipyrone for public distribution free of charge. Minas Gerais state secured nearly 380,000 chloroquine tablets to meet local demand. And Itajaí Mayor Volnei Morastoni, a physician, went even further. He urged not only the pills but also a “simple, rapid” application of ozone — administered with a rectal catheter.

I have always believed that when one has to administer ozone it is best done via a rectal catheter

Knew someone would make the 1 dose comment.

Everybody knows that a second dose is needed...

Its still a good achievement as they have more protection. Every first dose is helping to save lives.

I fully agree, I think it's going very well and it's the one bit of hope we have. But we have to say doses, not vaccinated - it isn't the same. But, it's a great start!
