It’s pretty much the same businesses open and rules for schools as last March, there might be more footfall because people are too fearful of losing income or families have expanded, I’ve not noticed it much by me like but then I’ve only been out 2 times in the 5 weeks I’ve been off
Twice as many people using public transport in this period than in the first lockdown; five times more school kids attending classes; more retail outlets and places that were considered non-essential in the first lockdown doing business.

This is not a lockdown.

I don't know ethically if they'd be allowed, but again if you're providing parental consent then it may not be an issue - e.g. your son can't say no himself etc.

If it's one needle and they can do it in the upper arm, I was just thinking they could get it in quick and withdraw with the needle, but might not be quick enough.

If he sees a needle or gets wind of one, that`s it !!!!

Didn't see it mate, but interesting - the are using just the Mrna jabs at the moment, id like to see the see the logic - did they say why they went that way @LinekersLegs will probably have the right of it.

Looks like we are going to use AZ on over 65 over here, if what i heard this morning is correct.
Have seen delaying the second jab recommended by a few that I trust like Bob

but haven’t seen any notice of an official change from FDA, last message they had was this

My neighbours are now key workers and have the kid in school.
Works Saturday morning and Sunday in Aldi she does. ( not school days ).

He deffo isn’t on any key worker list.

Just can’t be arsed looking after the kid anymore during the day.

No doubt saw the ‘vulnerable’ kids further down the road getting taken into school and wanted in on the free babysitting.

Those two x hundreds of thousands if not millions.

It's a loophole deliberately kept open by the murderers.

What retailers are open now than were then? Cos off the top of my head the supermarkets, Boots and the discount outlets have been open throughout as have Halfords

As said more kids being in school is because office workers who can’t afford to work from home are going into their workplaces

My projections were off but the rolling averages continue to fall

Hospital figures - 791 deaths were announced today, up 389 on yesterday and down 113 on last Tuesday. 767 deaths were in English hospitals, up 411 on yesterday and down 108 on last week. The 7 day rolling average falls to 818.43

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 1449 deaths were announced today, up 1033 on yesterday and down 182 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 1121.57

For the 60 day cut off, 1613 deaths were announced today, up 1180 on yesterday and down 143 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 1228.43

Many more stores are open in town centres. Spring was like a ghost town in most. Footfall tells the story:

"UK footfall is now 67.5% lower than in the same week of 2020, however, this is still some way off from the lowest level of -82.2% reached during the first lockdown…" - Retail Sector magazine 20th January 2021.

Name some because I can tell you from where I am it’s like a ghost town for retail only the minimarts and newsagents by me are open

We are in semi-lockdown; that plus the fact this government wont properly quarantine is why we're seeing the variant here now.

On the South African strain in South Africa though: that's been prevalent there, which is why that country is on the list of quarantined nations, yet we see an announcement virtually that the second surge is at an end there. My question is - how can this be, given its highly infectious nature? 10 days down from 2,000 cases from 20,000.

have they been in lockdown?

Could genuinely be as simple as that combined with summer months mate.

We weren't in lockdown in the summer, really - restrictions obviously, but not lockdown - and rates stayed flat.
