Thanks mate, I was sick of this onslaught of misinformation from the world's medical experts but thank god bignev23 of GOT has cut through the noise
Sorry I have a brain and use common sense and logic to judge what's most dangerous to me at any one point in time. Cars have prob killed more people in every country that have cases Covid19, since the outbreak began., should we all run and hide in our homes from vehicles for the foreseeable future too? many things can kill me, excuse me for not being arsed so far about this, one day I may share your opinion.

People seem to think the warm weather will be a good thing.

As someone with respiratory issues I can say the warm weather can have a severe impact on my ability to breath properly.
The information in work we’re getting is it should die off at temps around 26 degrees and above (how they know or think this?) but over half the country’s in Africa has confirmed cases now so that puts that theory to bed. Add the Middle East to the growing cases also.

Agree. We’ve acted too late, and the figures that are getting published are only confirmed cases, how many people don’t know they have it yet and are carrying on as normal? If everyone just sits tight and listens to device given then we could (Hope) to have it under control in a few months. The aftermath of this is going to take years to get over it.

And the thing is how else is anyone meant to act?

With not enough testing there's no way to know whatsoever. Hopefully the new anti-bodies test can be finalised in weeks and we'll at least have a gague.

I've read that, IIRC, 1/5 people who have it will actually show the main symptoms (fever and cough).

How, without access to tests, is anyone going to know that they've got it if they feel perfectly fine.

And all these people now self-isolating because they have a sniffle (which I know is the advice) - well what if in actual fact they simply have a cold (which is very common at this time of year – I nearly always get ill around now due to the change in season and weather for example). They're gonna do their 14 days in iso, think they're alright, come out and return to 'normal' life (whatever is normal in two weeks' time, mind) and get infected.

It's just all up in the air but I really don't see how it can be months away from peaking. Even with these measures it seems like millions will be confirmed (and that's just what we know as confirmed) within days.

This thing is moving quicker than anything we've seen. The only slim positive of that is that the vast majority of people will (hopefully) build up the immunity quicker and in terms of the actual impact on life/economy etc, it hits the next month or so in the main.

Locking down London is the next step and will help.

Testing is going to increase and the PHE test to establish if people have had it should go some way to mapping out the scale of asymptomatic people vs those that get it and display symptoms.

Oh I know it's getting there mate.

My point all along has been it should have been ready to go weeks ago. Same with every country in Europe.

They've all failed us by being ill-prepared - and I say that knowing full well this is unprecedented too mate.

But yes, when these tests come it will be a big step. Just wish it had been done sooner because it really should have been foreseen, surely?

False information, body temperature is 36-37 and the virus is thriving in human's body

It`s getting worse by the day, my missus has just come in and said the latest " in" thing to panic buy is shampoo, as there`s no hand gels or soap, people are stock piling it to use it as regular soap.

I`m really starting to understand why people say " f*** it all " and go and live in the wilderness.
We need more social "man/woman" caves to be built in Snowdonia. lol
