Indeed. Possibly the most incorrect tweet of all time.

Well done Keir!

... seriously, the most sheltered, privileged pensioners in the country getting the jab before literally anyone else in this country in their age range sickens me.
Not a fan of the monarchy but they are both in the 90's and qualify for the first group.
Actually surprised that they weren't done sooner.

Serious question here, and not taking the mick. Does anyone here personally know anyone who has passed away directly off COVID, not with it.

This is not meant as a snide by the way, I’m dubious about the whole thing but respect people’s views. Just want to know the general opinion.

Personally, and I live in the middle of Liverpool with a large social group around me don’t know anyone, or know anyone who knows anyone who has passed directly from it. A neighbour of a friend did however she had a lot of other stuff going on and was near 80, but that’s it.

Again, not in this for a argument or to upset anyone who has been affected, just generally interested in the responses.

An old work colleague.

Cracked his wrist and caught it in hosy.

Other than the fact he was white, he ticked all the boxes for getting it.

Conversely, I’ve got a mate who lives in a sleepy little village in East York’s, not far from Hull and not one single person in his village has had it and he doesn’t know anyone whose had it, despite the fact he works in the virus hotspot of Hull.

Well COVID cause acute respiratory problems so you must believe no one is dying of acute respiratory problems if you don’t believe anyone is dying of COVID?
I know it does, but so does a lot of other things, too many to list.

I’m not saying no one is dying from it, I’m saying I don’t know anyone who has died directly from it or know anyone who knows anyone.

I haven’t been having a dog, and if anyone does know anyone who has directly no disrespect at all, I don’t mean it in that way. I’m genuinely asking a question to see how many people know some one, because I am finindong it staringe that with this plague like diseases ripping through the country not many people know people who have died.

I have no doubt on here a lot will, that’s why I am asking.

Im not denying it is there, I’ve had it and know about 30 others who have.

Nice one mate for a normal reply mate, fair dues.

Coming on a forum in the middle of a pandemic... 1000s dying daily and you're 'dubious' because you've not known anyone personally who's died.

You shouldn't be dubious, you should think yourself lucky
Am I not allowed to question what I see and hear on the news of it dosent add up to me, im not saying I am right either by the way, just merely questioning something that doesn’t quite add up to me.

I haven’t come to this thought process on my own either, I’ll be honest 80% of the people I speak to are of the same thought process possibly more.

I have at least 6 people around me who are on the NHS, 1 doctors, 2 nurses and porters, and they haven’t exactly made the doubts any better.

like I said before, I’m not in anyway denying it is there, it’s obvious it is. But something isn’t right.

Yes,

I’ve known of two people who’ve died of it in the past fortnight; in total, it’s six now. Even with cancer, I wouldn’t know that many to die of a single cause.
