Serious question here, and not taking the mick. Does anyone here personally know anyone who has passed away directly off COVID, not with it.
This is not meant as a snide by the way, I’m dubious about the whole thing but respect people’s views. Just want to know the general opinion.
Personally, and I live in the middle of Liverpool with a large social group around me don’t know anyone, or know anyone who knows anyone who has passed directly from it. A neighbour of a friend did however she had a lot of other stuff going on and was near 80, but that’s it.
Again, not in this for a argument or to upset anyone who has been affected, just generally interested in the responses.
What’s wearing a seatbelt got to do with anything?Yes.
But I don’t know anybody personally who has died in a car crash. Can I stop wearing a seat belt ?
My wife's uncle works in a care home.Serious question here, and not taking the mick. Does anyone here personally know anyone who has passed away directly off COVID, not with it.

Why what would he say? It’s a genuine question. Seriously. My wife's uncle works in a care home.
They lost 10 residents in a very short period of time early on. Very very grim.
I'd love to hear his response if you'd asked him in person, as he's the sort that doesn't exactly mince his words.

It was a genuine question, seems like your automaticity on the defensive.
What’s daft about it though seriously?I’m simply pointing out the daft nature of your question.

Its all about your age group really.Serious question here, and not taking the mick. Does anyone here personally know anyone who has passed away directly off COVID, not with it.

That’s a fair point and I don’t disagree, I’m 33. I had this discussion with my mum the other day who’s in her 60s, however she doesn’t know anyone nor any of my girls parents omates. Its all about your age group really.
The majority of people who die are 60+ so if you are young you might not know many people whereas someone who is say 70 is much more likely to know multiple people.
Vast majority who die are over 70 so unless you work in a care home or a hospital you might not know many people who have passed away. I don't know anyone who has died but I don't really know any older people. That’s a fair point and I don’t disagree, I’m 33. I know a lot who have had it, I’m talking people who have passed away directly from it.
I can understand people thinking im on the wind up because what I have said previously but I’m not, I’m genuinely interested.
I agree, but I do know a lot of people in that age bracket, or have a lot of friends who obviously have people in that age bracket a round them, and still nothing. I honestly find it strange.Vast majority who die are over 70 so unless you work in a care home or a hospital you might not know many people who have passed away. Regardless it is still very real.
