Mate it is wierd that they mention covid. He is lying in a hospital bed with blindness and paralysis. Covid contributes nothing to the story and depending on the different versions , he may not even have it currently.

It's adds nothing to the story, doesn't change it in any way or contribute to how he got to being bitten.

So why bother mentioning it? Other than to get more clicks during a pandemic.

Why does it ultimately matter though? It's just a news story.

If it doesn't matter why are you so mad about it then? Like he's got COVID; sure it's maybe irrelevant to the story but if news headlines get you worked up on a Friday morning maybe you need to stop reading them.

It doesn't matter what you think about it.

Such a ridiculous attitude to have about a post on an internet forum. Nothing matters, why bother talking about anything.

You’re now arguing a different point.

You said the media were likening Covid to his other ailments. They were not.

Stop changing the subject.

Again, why are you getting so worked up?

A man whilst fighting COVID gets bitten by a snake and you're angry the news reporters are mentioning COVID in the article/headlines.

Chill out, it's normal for them to refer to it during a pandemic. You're talking like it shouldn't be mentioned at all in a way it's not an important ailment compared to malaria/snake bite.

Big push in Europe for the two RNA vaccines approved by the EEA by the second week of Dec and roll out started, truck load of data delivered to the EU and a big administrative push to get this approved quickly if found safe. Countires have been asked to provide their plans for logistics and distribution to the EU.

Oxford results expected before Xmas, Cure Vac probably just shortly after - which is an RNA very similar to Pfizer and Morderna, so big hope there. JJ not to far behind and a few others.

Word on the ground is there could be up to five vaccines on the market come spring time.

If he is stable from the snake bite, even with the terrible injuries from it, then covid is the part to be most worried about as it is the clear and present danger that could kill him.

Your outlook is like if they accidentally chopped his legs off in the elevator doors, all the doctors shrug and say "we won't stop the bleeding it's the least of his worries".

lol at what point am I changing the subject. The headline literally puts snake bite and covid in the same sentence. Of course it's comparable if it's in the same sentence.

Same as the headline man battling covid falls off roof. Nothing to to with each other but why mention it.

You think this is worked up? lol

Why is that your go to thing, if it's not hurling insults at people like a child it's pretending someone is worked up or angry.

There is nothing in the story to even suggest that. He wasn't holed up in a hospital bed when he got bitten. Ergo two completely different subjects just put into the same headline.

The fella has survived malaria, covid is practically nothing to him.

I mean it’s pretty obvious to everyone you’re getting worked up about a very normal news headline. He’s got COVID, he’s been bitten, are the news only allowed to include one threatening incident per news article?

A great deal of people having critical problems but choose not to visit hospital because of covid fears. This is also another point overlooked. They need to see a doctor, but they think either hospital wont have any stuff to deal with their non covid (but equally deadly) situation, or there will be a polyclinic service but some doctors will be neglecting it because of the stressful environment, or they will treat the patient alright but patient fears they may catch covid on the road, inside the hospital etc. Grim stuff.

So posting about it is getting worked up?

How so? Break that element down for me.

I'd attribute being worked up to typing in capitals, swearing , attacking a poster etc.

So explain to me how I've gone from posting a subject and talking about it to getting worked up about it?

I'm curious. Just so I can avoid this posting blunder in future to not give this idea of anger in my words.
