So posting about it is getting worked up?

How so? Break that element down for me.

I'd attribute being worked up to typing in capitals, swearing , attacking a poster etc.

So explain to me how I've gone from posting a subject and talking about it to getting worked up about it?

I'm curious. Just so I can avoid this posting blunder in future to not give this idea of anger in my words.

This whole post is worked up. lol

lol at what point am I changing the subject. The headline literally puts snake bite and covid in the same sentence. Of course it's comparable if it's in the same sentence.

Putting something factual in the same sentence does not mean they are saying the things are of equal significance, as per below.

https://news.sky.com/story/british-dad-blinded-and-paralysed-after-king-cobra-bite-in-india-12136840

Today's crap news story. Fella has been bitten by a cobra and is blind / paralysed. Has had dengue fever, malaria in the past also. Yet the news bother to mention covid-19 like that is equal to a cobra bite and malaria!?

Thats when you know the media are going ott on the reporting of covid-19. The metro even have the title

Not being funny but covid is the last of his worries right now and I'm sure the other illnesses make covid pale in comparison.

You’re chatting bollocks. None of the articles you linked said Covid is having as much of an impact on the mans health as the snake bite.

Then you started talking about click bait, which was not what I queried. AKA changing the subject.

Does seem a bit worked up by you from the initial post.

What does your boy say about Covid? Bring some balance to the debate.

Is it?

Why? You fail to tell me why it is. After I've already said I'm not worked up. So please expand as to why.

Sounds like you are changing my subject and trying to turn it around here fella. I posted something , you have gone off on a different tangent and me still making the same point is apparantly changing the subject?

If there is no comparison then it has no reason to be in the headlines. You are being pedantic to ignore that simple point, no need to put that there.

In a time when anything and everything is emphasised due to the fact we are In a pandemic, attaching the reason for that fear to stories that it has no relevance is designed for fear. Same as any story of someone dying young without any context to it other than well wishes, designed for fear.

So a snake bite story mentioning covid in the headline from so many sources is using fear to promote itself. Because deep down how many people would read that story if covid wasn't in the title? That's how it caught my attention.

How have I gone off on a tangent, by responding to your own words....?

Whether it should be in the headline or not is a different point, versus your statement that the news outlets were saying Covid and the snake bite were of equal significance. A claim which is demonstrably false.

Have a few days off from the internet, for your own good.

Which is pendantic to remove what I was saying and push one tiny part of it like it's relevant really to the overall point.

Which is that it doesn't belong in the headline.

Quite right too. She's done a decent job up there overall.

The chimps in Westminster need to act in the way the Scots are doing and extend the mini-lockdown beyond 2nd December.

Yet, since the Scottish lockdown started, the Police in Scotland are having to break up hundreds of house parties every week. Which in turn is why their numbers aren`t coming down at all in certain parts of Scotland.

Which is hardly being reported at all in the English press.

All the lockdowns in the world aren`t going to come between Rab C Nesbitt and his mates from having a drink.

I mean if your only comeback is that I’m being pedantic while you’re arguing the toss about snake bite newspaper headlines on a football forum, I don’t really know what to say.

Police Scotland have been told to break them up; the coppers down here seem to me to be on an implict message to ignore them or confront them only when they get to mass gatherings. And what do the behaviour of people throwing parties have to do with the way that the Scottish Government have conducted the crisis?

Sturgeon has very good approval ratings on that in Scotland.
