Bed wetters out in force it seems

once again if you have no medical issues or over 70 then stop worrying lifes too short to be spent in a lockdown over a myth of a virus
Even in your empty (attention craving) head you can see the scientific facts and know this virus isn’t a myth.

A vaccine is coming, everyone from Scientists to Government are confidently stating it is coming

All they are asking is to be sensible, follow the guidance and encourage people to do the same.

Hundreds died today in the U.K. and Ireland and sadly it will get worse pre vaccine.

Surely you can see the greater good and show some responsibility to do the right thing while the Scientists solve it.

So, when previously today you said ...

... you actually meant lockdown once and then find a way of controlling transmission at a sensible rate so the NHS, and the rest of the country can find some sort of balance ?

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but I for one am glad we got that sorted out, because I was beginning to wonder if you were just blustering from one rant to another without having anything rational to say, but that's plainly not the case.
If you thought that then it underlines you cant follow an argument.

No Dave

I do support the opening of pubs and restaurants. They are safe if people follow the SD rules. If they break them they are not safe.

In my experience 100% of the bars and restaurants I've been to since shutdown were following the SD guidelines. The very few breaches I saw were quickly sorted by the proprietors.

You cant know that.

What we do know is that at least 4%-5% of infections are attributed to restaurants. Should that be ignored?

No, but if there are other sectors at higher levels ( no idea not a google expert) then surely tackle them. Start at the highest which has to lead to a reduction in number if not % of the lowest. 10-24 year olds I.e. not your typical restaurant clientele I would suggest, are the largest category for infection. Tackle whatever is causing that.

Stop what you can. They're one of the first to close abroad.

Here's what I dont get either: how on earth can you feel comfortable enough to sit in an enclosed space for hours when a pandemic is rife and we know that being in enclosed spaces for long periods is dangerous? How do people feel relaxed enough to enjoy a meal under those circumstances? Also, how do people feel relaxed in any case stuffing their 'kin faces when people in their towns are dying in their scores each day?

Sorry I edited my post after you quoted, but suggested we need to target what is causing it in 10-24 year olds which is the highest category for infection at least until recently. Fair enough whatever you can, but if not locking down completely then get the targets right

Schools and colleges should be shut. And so should anything else transmitting this. May as well open the ale houses if they leave restaurants open though.

It's probably better to drink in a responsibly run bar rather than loading up at Tesco and having mates round to your house. That's what's happening in Scotland - thousands of parties and police running around breaking them up.
