I think they have learnt a lot. Why should Devon and Cornwall close down because some in the North West cba following the rules ? Close down the areas where the problems are and let everyone else get on with their lives.....
Because people being people they will simply move about.

SHUT IT DOWN; KEEP IT SHUT.

Dave no one is forcing these people to cram in pubs mid week till closing like there’s nothing else to do. Eventually some people are just going to have to take it upon themselves to not go party for a while.
They shouldn't have the option. Like March to July.

SHUT THEM DOWN; KEEP THEM SHUT.

We've been through this debate. I'm not doing it again for the umpteenth time. Long story short: there is no need for that outcome; itls a political decision to make that happen, there is no inevitablity to closing the hospitality sector and its obliteration.

SHUT THEM DOWN.
They serve alcohol. Discipline will not be there from customers. And if the pubs shut and they dont, can you imagine the spillover from one to the other going well?

Its a no brainer in this highly infectious environment. 570 per 100,000 in Liverpool; 600 per 100,000 in Knowsley.

It'll get worse too.

Dont shut these incubators down and we'll get a repeat of March and April. Simple as that.

SHUT THEM DOWN, KEEP THEM SHUT DOWN.
Let's see what happens on the restaurants. They may stay open under some circumstances, they may close. But they will be closed begfore long. They are incubators as much as any pub is. And if they are allowed to sell alcohol there'll just be a stampede to them and they'll try and explout that and exacerbate the crisis there.

This is like the finest of poetic laments. Edgar Allan Poe would be proud.

I'd like to think in a sane and just country the handling of this pandemic is enough to keep this government out of power for decade and we've still got all the Brexit bollocks to come.

Most weekends where I live (small town) have been like that on a smaller scale since pubs reopened in July. Maybe less group chanting as that’s just weird outside a stadium haha.

Fair enough.

I don't go into the town centre as I have no need, really, or desire.

The pubs I go to are just in a suburb and, if they've been busy, it's always been people following the regulations (I mean in July/August there weren't any regulations).
