Joe Anderson keeps talking about the ICU at the Royal being close to full. Everyone's known for years that the ICU there is tiny, my dad was in there after a heart attack in April a few years ago and it was full then with them struggling to free up spaces. The staff are fantastic there but the bed problem was an issue long before COVID.

Has the new hospital got a bigger ICU? I know it has less beds.

I think Matt Hancock has installed bunk beds as part of his 40 new hospitals initiative.

They're avoiding it if they can.

No countries can afford it.

Unfortunately I feel it's inevitable.
Yeah, new French measure are incremental and build on those announced 2 weeks ago. I expect similare here...then full lockdown.

All of which will have been delaying the inevitable and losing lives. Not that those murderers will care.

They’re all in one of Joeys poly tunnels.

He’s opened them up as part of Joeys PFI initiative in conjunction with Matt Hancock

Mrs Joey is dressed up like Barbara Windsor in Carry on Doctor and Joey has rigged up a load of Dyson powered ventilators to assist the patients should they require assistance with their breathing.

Not like you to excuse those breaking lockdown...

I wonder what's different in this circumstance?

Nothing, I think he was a prat. But to suggest that some functionary going against the rules excuses everybody else in the country is just playing politics. Did the SNP woman going to Parliament mean that some in Liverpool could behave stupidly, of course not, why, because she wasn’t a Tory.....

People have had enough of being told what to do by unelected london elites. We signed up for a lockdown to protect people's lives, not to stop us going to the pub. It's destroying our British traditions. We need to control these people, who are moving into parts of the UK from London, spreading who knows what - and they get given tax relief on their second homes, whereas the rest of us Brits would be fined or imprisoned. We're taking back control and not being bound by ridiculous rules made by faceless bureaucrats who are completely out of touch with people's lives.

Hypocrites the lot of them, it's do as we say, not do as we do....

I can't stand this mob Dave, but every government in Europe doesn't really have a clue atm. Everyone's guessing.

What annoys me about the UK is we've had time to at least get some things up and running properly like Track and Trace etc.

But it's a huge mess and no country knows the way out. They're all trying to put off lockdowns by the looks, but think it's gonna happen before Christmas.
