"Yeah 44k people have died..but it's kind of fun on the lash and spreading it!"

The undercurrent to these wannabe super spreading quilts is that they think that just by standing amongst people and having a drink they - for the first time in their lives - are 'interesting'...a little bit 'maverick' or even 'risque'.

They are the biggest 'kin dullards you'd ever stumble upon in reality. Nothing people with nothing in their heads.

All settings - 22 is the figure announced for the day, down 45 on yesterday and 14 down on last Sunday, bringing the 7 day rolling average down to 95.71 with the hospital average falling to 39.29

IF, this trend remains steady in 2 weeks time, that is now the crucial issue as I read things.

Not that far off am I? (In terms of the loosening of lock down this weekend).

No you’d be right there, there’ll be a high rise on the all settings figure as normal on Tuesday but it shouldn’t effect the averages too much, by the end of this week the hospital average should, all being well, start dipping into the 20s

I remember at one of the early daily briefings when Prof JVT made a comment "That we will need to live with this virus for many months" or sommet like that.

If living with it keeps it in check, and local outbreaks can be ID'd and dealt with swiftly, reckon that will be the UK for some time soon. Personally, I can live with that. But personally, I dont have young kids, am retired, ish, and have been resigned to our own personal lock down till early 2021 anyrate.

I appreciate that I am in a tiny minority though.

If we can get folk working and earning again, as safe as is possible, I think the vast majority of folk will accept the new normal.

Nature paper-2 original lineages (called clades) of CoV2- one from Wuhan seafood market, one not. No difference in disease. Severe disease has low lymphocytes and high IL6/IL8. Supports anti-cytokine therapy and use of dexamethasone.

People seem to be handling this crisis via two extremes, one half locking themselves away and the other thinking they are immune to it.

Not so many in the middle ground. Being self employed with kids I’m trying my best to stay in that middle ground mentally whilst keeping a normal but cautious approach to daily life and work. Some people think it’s now ok to go for a pint or meet up and some don’t and that’s fine with me.

Think the key is trying to respect both opinions when you talk to and meet folk, all got their own problems and reasons for the way they are behaving and handling things, it’s now like we’ve been here before in our life times.

Things looking a little bit better and long may that continue...

Im pretty much middle ground - got a few meals booked over the coming weeks and a date night with my bff end of the month but not going on any pub crawls and will always wear a face mask when in the shops etc.

Funnily enough the MMA gym I train at obviously has been shut since the start of lockdown and as much as I have missed it I wont be going back for a while when it finally reopens. Normal gyms I think are risky but you aint rolling around a mat with multiple people I wouldn't take the risk.
