Has he? How? UK citizens can’t travel to Greece, can they?

You can't fly directly into Greece from the UK, but it's not illegal to fly from UK to somewhere in Europe and then hop on a flight to Athens or Thessaloniki.

That went against Foreign Office advice on foreign travel, but again, it's not illegal to ignore FCO advice. Immoral ? Yes. Illegal ? No.

You might want to check the small print on any travel or medical insurance mind.

Travel insurance is the thing that people seem to be forgetting in all this.

From the date of lockdown, you can`t get travel insurance that will cover you for any condition arising from the virus. ( imagine how many that is ! )

If you took out insurance before this you`re fine, but anyone travelling abroad without travel insurance that includes cover against the virus, really does want their head looking at, it`s just insane.

Not a cat in hells chance I`d be taking that risk.

Doesn't matter if you're loaded mate.

Lets face it, if your flights go tits up and you've got a seven figure sum in the bank, then it's just a minor inconvenience. If you need serious medical treatment, you're covered with EHIC. Worst case scenario would be you'd need medical repatriation, which might cost 20 to 50k.

Which presumably is one of the many things we lose in December?
