The only certainty in life is death. Yeah it's tragic when a loved one dies, especially when you're by their side when they go, but I've suffered enough deaths in the family over the past few years that I've largely become desensitised to it.

You should never become desensitised to a family death that’s just downright odd.

Didn’t you know? Unless you have sequestered yourself in the loft with a bog roll throne you might as well as kill your elderly neighbor with your bare hands and wear their face as a mask.

I'm just saying, you could at least wait until they're in a deep rem cycle

Good Lord preserve us!!!

Arlene Foster made no attempt to hide her disapproval as Michelle O'Neill said schools should be closed

Hasn't she said when the schools close it will be for at least 16 weeks, so she is prepared for it to happen, but probably disagrees when it should start from.

It's why I say that we should all take personal responsibility and not be forced into it.

Some people are just not responsible, would be nice if everyone thought of others over themselves. You can see from the panic buying how myopic we can be.

He's in an odd mood this morning.

He accused me of inciting panic on the forum.

I didn't take offence though, hardly worth it when we only have weeks to live.

I think when people start telling others how worried they should be over this when they don’t know anything themselves the thread needs closing.

Turned into a right prick since he lost his mod mask and can post what he wants.

That wasn’t the question was it? You’ve made a load of references to the situation in the UK like it directly effects you, when that really isn’t true at all.

In essence, you have stirred the pot to create drama online. You are a Drama Queen.

Fortunately we both live in democracies. I live in the states but I still have family back home. Being critical of government policy here or in the UK doesn't make me a "drama queen". It's called discussion, debate. If you want I could munch some grass or in ten years you could retire me to "voluntary" isolation.

Either way we all need to face up to what's happening here eventually.

It's more that it's highly contagious and that it's far more likely that those specific people will get sick and die if society doesn't pull it's finger out.

The next one may well be lethal to more people
There is, but people are being told to stay at home if they are ill. If people do that the whole issue of it being more contagious really becomes a bit null. I don’t know if that’s common practice, but that’s what I do anyway if I’m ill in anyway.

My old man survived a cancer scare last year but I still won’t visit if I’m coughing, sneezing etc. The whole thing feels like we’ve discovered viruses for the first time.
