I mean that’s basically what you’re saying.
No it isn't at all. That's the attitude of the selfish me first society we live in today.

They understand that the economy has to open up or many will lose their jobs. They also understand that the increased risk to them can be mitigated if they continue to self isolate. These people have kids and grandkids of their own. They don't want to see their lives ruined out of some selfish belief that they should endure the same restrictions

You need to be more specific about the "what" then be cause that was just slagging off the "way"
It wasn't 'slagging off'. That's not me just having a random pop... It's my, and a good number of people's experiences of dealing with this Government during this Pandemic.

Ignorance is bliss I suppose. Let's just settle on they're 'doing their best at a difficult time' shall we?

I owe you an apology. I'll explain after I've had some breakfast

Washington Post:

Beijing records another drop in confirmed cases

China's capital has recorded a further drop in new confirmed cases as tightened measures to contain the spread remain in place.

Officials reported 22 new cases in Beijing on Saturday, along with five others elsewhere in the country. No new deaths were reported and 308 people remain hospitalised.

One of the Beijing cases is a nurse at a hospital in the suburban Changping district. The Peking University International Hospital where she worked is now under tightened restrictions, along with residential communities in the surrounding area.

A total of 205 people have been diagnosed with the virus in Beijing since the outbreak began last week, with at least two of them critically ill and 11 others in serious condition.

100 cases identified for the second day in a row in Czech now, which is the highest level since March.

On the subject of which, I know you were interested @davek, the EU have halted subsidies to Agrofert, the company owned by the Czech prime minister, and demanded repayments of previous subsidies to them. They're also working to prevent Babis from participating in budgetary discussions until this conflict of interest is resolved. The issue is not helped by death threats being made against Czech MEPs investigating the matter, after Babis himself called them traitors working against the government. All of this has nothing to do with Czech attempts to block the Covid stimulus package proposed by the EU because it seeks to get some of the countries least affected (ie many in the east) to support those heavily affected.

55,000 new cases today in Brazil to go alomg with official death toll of 50,000 in total. If only patriotism wasn't a thing there would be less corrupt, incompetent bellends running countries

Is this like the UK Government placing contracts with AI companies like Faculty - a company with links to Tory aides like Warner and Cummings?

I couldn't give a flying one about the Czech PM or his ilk. The relevant point is this: the Czechs have a total number of deaths from Covid19 that stands at less than 340; the UK has a total death from it of 68,000. They have been well governed during this crisis, the UK has been calamitoulsy governed. Or maybe you would dispute that?
