Not sure exactly, haven't been following too closely. But I think a couple of places have seen some big outbreaks. A place called Gutersloh seems to have had nearly 400 infections this week.

Edit: also just read 700 people in Gottingen got quarantined, but only 100 tested positve
Gutersloh was the place. Just googled it. 650 tested positive at a slaughterhouse out of over a 1000 tested. How big is the slaughterhouse FFS.

I guess you don't mind these big outbreaks because they are easier to control. it's where the contact tracing comes into play.

Is the google/apple one up and running over there?. Have you signed upto it?

It's not really about if we should start to reopen and if we should look to ease lockdown. Of course we should do it and at the earliest opportunity.

Getting angry at people who want and need easing to happen is unfair.

That said, it's a big risk to do it because the Government are pressing ahead with it where it's potentially unsafe to do so, purely to distract from their negligence.
The people stuffing their gobs with pasties and looking to get their beards trimmed at a Turkish barbers are the ones who have been getting out and about anyway, regardless of any change in 'alert level'.

Itls the 2.5M people who have been shielding and are allowed out now but will be too scared to emerge who I focus my sympathy on.

What would you change out of what he has done so far and why? I'm just wondering as there are a lot of people who think he isn't opening up fast enough
I'll have to answer this in more depth later but it is not so much about speed so much as how is communicated and the messaging that supports it.

And a national approach to what is not a one size fits all model.

Looks like the theory of multiple sources for the outbreak of Covid19 has gained weight. Italian sewage suggests that the virus was in Italy in December.

Added to the data from France that it was there in December too and it looks like there's been a European infection centre that goes alongside the outbreak in Wuhan.

Saw in Czech this morning that they've just had the most cases in a day since March as well.

Hopefully a blip rather than a trend.

I have mate. It's up and running. Apparently it's been downloaded 10 million times, so not really enough for it to be effective yet I guess. Haven't really been out enough this week to test it but seems to be done quite well.

Slaughterhouses need to be big over here I think!

They're pitching it as a localised outbreak (I think Silesia has seen a bit of a spurt, and the border with Poland is one of the few neighbouring borders not to have re-opened).

10m not many really. 80m population, say around 40m smartphones. Is that fair?. 25% isn't enough to make it effective really is it? has it been out there long?

Are you in a job that is at risk because of it? If you are then fair enough. If you aren't, I really don't think it's your prerogative to judge other people who could lose their jobs.
I think he lives in a hippy commune where they are self sufficient in everything.
