No, it's the very opposite for hundreds of people per day in this country dying of a deadly virus.

Never mind though, as long as the barbers and Greggs and Wetherspoons and gyms are open and can cater to the selfish gets who couldn't give a flying one about anyone but themselves.
It's not really about if we should start to reopen and if we should look to ease lockdown. Of course we should do it and at the earliest opportunity.

Getting angry at people who want and need easing to happen is unfair.

That said, it's a big risk to do it because the Government are pressing ahead with it where it's potentially unsafe to do so, purely to distract from their negligence.

They have been bang average no doubt- but its only since the Cummings fiasco that its become popular in the media / average joe on the street to suddenly moan about every cock up / set back as its now popular to call them useless.

Im still going to go for a pint next month regardless of not having an app - I've seen folk on twitter genuinely say they cant leave the house without it - load of tosh imo.
Aye the media have joined the bandwagon certainly, but there are have been very legimate crtitiques of their performance on many different levels, especially the ones that include the damage they've deliberately inflicted on our infrastructure over the last decade.

Can't say I blame you, I don't have too much of a clue about the app but I know plenty were concerned about the data storage and even just the quality of the set up

This is such a false stance on the situation. People are fed up being locked up and want to enjoy living. If any individual wants to live in a joyless bubble at home they away welcome to but cant expect to stop everyone else's fun.

It's a balance. Lockdown should be eased but where it's safe to do so.

Clearly people living in their house and on edge is unhealthy but so is opening up too quickly without safeguards in place.

Currently while I favour easing, it needs to be gradual and considered rather than complete knee jerk policy which it currently is.

I hate the Tories more for the cuts over the last decade than what Cummings did lets put it that way mate!

The HMT actions over the past few months I think have proven that the HMT actions post 2010 were political.

If we had pumped more public funding in to the economy in those first few years we would have had a much smoother decade with higher living standards, fewer deaths and ultimately a larger economy with higher tax receipts.

No of new cases over the last 7 days in Germany has gone from 2300 on Monday to 2800 today. Interesting to see how this will develop.

Just been lowered to level 3 : MURDERERS.

STAY IN.

DON`T GO OUT FOR A WALK.

DON`T GO TO THE SHOPS.

DON`T GO TO THE PUB.

DON`T SEE YOUR FAMILY.

DON`T SEE YOUR MATES.

DON`T GO TO WORK.

DON`T GO ON HOLIDAY.

COVER YOUR HOUSE IN TINFOIL.
You never mentioned cycle rides.

I'm sick and tired of all these vague messages. :)

Wasn't there something like 600 linked to one outbreak? Or was that just a rumour that became fake news.
Not sure exactly, haven't been following too closely. But I think a couple of places have seen some big outbreaks. A place called Gutersloh seems to have had nearly 400 infections this week.

Edit: also just read 700 people in Gottingen got quarantined, but only 100 tested positve

What would you change out of what he has done so far and why? I'm just wondering as there are a lot of people who think he isn't opening up fast enough
