I speak up for them, seeing as they are quietly forgotten about and being asked to suffer in silence while an army of Pastie scoffing, ale swigging, Sports Direct devotees get to exercise their rights to "freedom".

We've all just spent 3 months bored to suicide for them. What more could they seriously expect?

There is also an argument that if people are that ill then what is their quality of life and is it worth clinging on to? A lot of people seek euthanasia these days. Same people would certainly prefer a few weeks with their loved ones than a few months all alone, afraid, worrying and knowing the end is near anyway.

You are made up cos you can use this virus to constantly attack the tories. I hate the tories too but I'm on this planet to live. I've asked you before, how long - and I mean give a definitive amount of time- would you be prepared to sit at home?

May I also add that you have no consideration or compassion towards people whose mental health is deteriorating due to this.

Ts not supposed to be. I'm just suggesting that even people shielding alone may be thinking is it worth it. I've heard these comments and opinions shared by medical experts by the way.

Most definitely. I've worked with people in this period who have had proper goes at suicide at other times and by chance have been saved. Whom were very adamant they could not manage lockdown, however, once they got those letters to sheild themselves in they went and have not come out since. Trying to generalise people is impossible.

173 is the overall figure announced for the day, up 38 on yesterday but down 29 on last Friday, bringing the 7 day rolling average down to an even 140. The earlier hospital figure has seen that rolling average fall further as well, down now to 65.14

So I'll ask you the same question. Can you put a timescale - an actual figure of weeks, months, years, that youd happily stay indoors doing nothing for?

I am the wrong person to ask mate.

I was told I will be the primary carer for Mrs R until she is fit to go out for 6 to 10 months anyrate. In mid feb. By a doctor. So food and meds only. My family know I wont be visiting them until she can with me.

It allowed her bed in a respiratory ward in hospital to be used for perhaps the wife of the friend who you think should visit.
