I respect them for getting out and protesting, but those young un's could pick it up at these protests then go home and pass it onto parents or other family members who may be more at risk.

Not being funny, but if my lad went to one, I wouldnt have him in the house for 2 weeks. (That said, havnt seen him since Christmas anyrate).

He has lived away for years mate, well, 6 or 7, and as I had my odd start to the year, followed by CV, its been text and phone since then. At least he is working though.

Our lad is 20 roydo (he's actually 21 on the 17th of this month) but doesn't act it. I have to say though, when he is at Uni he rings his mum quite a bit, that could be more because he knows if he doesn't ring she'll be in the car and on her way up to his digs. lol

There have been warnings coronavirus may be starting to spread again in the north-west and the south-west of England.

Some scientists say the R number is creeping up across the country and may have surpassed one - the point at which the epidemic takes off again - in these regions.

15000 protested in central Manchester.
Tameside, Halton and Wirral Councils have both halted the opening of schools on Monday because the infection rate is now too high: take that as above r1.

My wife suggested that other local councils may be making similar decisions over the coming days because they're expecting an increase in infections.

Same here in North Somerset. We have largely escaped the virus, but the recent outbreak at Weston General seems to have bought the R over 1. The actual numbers are tiny, but nevertheless, seems wise till it goes away.

However, we sent even younger uns's back into school on Monday where the best will in world social distancing will be broken...

I said it when the government confirmed the date the kids would be going back mate, that it was mad, and even more so because the kids would only be going back to school for a month, ridiculous putting people at risk for the benefit of one month in school.

I'd suggest a lockdown of those regions where the R rate is above one, nobody leaves, nobody enters unless to deliver food parcels, would be a good idea.

We could get manufacturing up and running again to create giant domes.

To an extent, this is what the government has planned to do, but the reality in imposing such a lock-down within a specific region isn't straightforward.

Well, it won't be just over 1 - the magic number may be closer to 1.5 or two.

Never about schooling it was about baby sitting services for those who will be forced back into the work place.
And lockdown started ending when stay alert and use common sense came into use. And now moves at a pace with Government encouragement despite the Scientists insisting the trace and track needs to be fully functioning.
