Just saw clips of the press conference earlier. What the flip was that all about with the journalists asking blatantly political questions to Whitty and Vallance. It's not question time, they are medical experts not politicians.

Ask Johnson those questions and keep asking him those questions over and over again. But I thought the whole thing was a total farce.

Bit disappointed in Starmer saying later that they should have been allowed to reply because they are entitled to an opinion. Yes they are as private individuals. But in their official capacity it was a bit underhand. In his normal job I guarantee he'd be shouting "I object your honour "

Absolutely - if the UK can get this right then there is no reason why any further lockdown would be needed, but of course there are severe questions about whether we are getting this right.

I do believe that future generations will look at what we have done and are doing and use it as a blue print on how not to deal with a pandemic. Future deaths for other reasons but due to our actions now, will be multiples of what corona even unchecked would have caused.
