So more people can meet outside now from Monday?
Why not in a house? What is the issue in going to someone's house?!
It's almost like the government are trying to get as many people outside as much as they can? Can't go and visit in someone's house whilst socially distancing but bigger groups can go outside. Makes no sense unless they want to create herd immunity buy having as many people out as possible but still only on groups of 6.
When someone who's infected, breaths out or talks, the virus disperses much quicker outside because of air movement. If you're inside, it's got nowhere else to go so hangs around longer. Opening all doors and windows would help, but being outside is better.
Also, if one of the people living in the house is infected, then the surfaces will be contaminated, and there are more surfaces inside than out.
But, yea, herd immunity is the driver here ffs.
To be fair, they seem happy enough to see plenty of new cases, so long as the number per day / week is dropping, which'll build up a small amount of extra immunity, and that'll likely be in their thoughts, but it won't be the main driver for this change.
