Maybe so but a small minority can make a big impact in a country as cramped as ours. We all share the same shops and places.

Again, and I know it gets boring, everyone down here are still cheerfully social distancing, and the supermarkets still have the queues outside and restrict numbers in store.

I'm not really sure what the alternative is.

We cannot stay in lockdown for infinity.

Allowing six people to meet up outdoors while socially distancing is relatively low risk according to the science.

We can't and I don't think any sane person is suggesting that. My concern is that they seem to be pushing on with their agenda, while the system is not yet ready.

Within a period of two weeks, we're going to have schools and businesses reopened and six people allowed in gardens etc. All this combined may push r0 above 1.

Yesterday, there was an incident in South Liverpool where fifteen people turned up to an all day BBQ on the ale and all, with the excuse of we're socially distancing.

Nobody went to the toilet? Nobody went inside or use the kitchen? It may be a minority, but it can have an impact. Oh, and these were professionals too.

Again, this isn't going to the majority, but it does suggest that even people who should know better (some medical professionals) may not adequately comply.

Perhaps a more staggered approach would have been more cautious but still having the same end goal in a similar time frame - an extra week or two?

Make sure the test and trace system is working at least adequately.
