Of course. They dont get on from the vote leave days.

But if the ERG decide on mass that Cummings goes, then Boris 80 seat majority goes, so Cummings will go. Tories on the backbench are not shy of throwing their weight and usually get their way.

TBF given what Baker also said today, I doubt the ERG is going to be the force it once was:

Really interesting report on BBC News now from Orla Guerin on contact tracing in Turkey - just the city of Istanbul has 1200 teams of tracers working (and they looked like two man teams), going to do doorstep tests and so on. Apparently because they have so many measles outbreaks their tracing system is well-established and has lots of practice.

Another approach to estimating infection fatality rate (IFR) for COVID-19, uses data from 139 countries.

Suggests a global IFR of 1.04%

I can see him resigning now after Boris tells him he's got no choice, but it will be described not as an admission of guilt but more of an honourable gesture because it's becoming a distraction from the real issue of Coronavirus. We will then have Boris making a rare appearance telling us how great Cummings is and how he didn't want him to go but Cummings thought it was for the best. The usual suspects will then follow gushing how admirable it was of Cummings etc.
