London have squashed it massively, they'll rise again I think. They say deprived areas are hot spots so small towns in the north I'd imagine.
If the R is 0.4 in London that is incredible. The rest of the country is double that.

Down here, just south of Bristol, it seems non existent. It isnt, obviously, but yesterday the news was 8 infections, not deaths, in the whole of North Somerset. Loads of care homes, several largish towns.

Its just dead weird.

Are they the same poor children that suffered 10 years of vicious austerity. Launched against the poor, disabled, vulnerable, weak and frail that is estimated to have caused 130 000 preventable deaths. Saw millions and millions plunged into poverty, that the UN envoy highlighted. Is it those poor people, I wonder? Using the poor to have a go at teachers sums up their new 'consensus togetherness'. They don't give a toss about the poor as their actions have shown.

Its very sad it's taken the consequences of this pandemic to highlight the poverty and inequality that is so prevalent in the UK now. There has been murmurings of some kind of societal change for the good, can't see it myself, very much the same, Greed is good, Poor is evil...

Love all the experts on schools in here, criticising schools saying they have supposedly been doing nothing when they have absolutely no clue at all how a school works. Schools want to open but it needs to be safe for children, parents and staff. It is honestly crazy trying to sort it all out and that's just for these 3 classes coming back first.

It's been like that since they dared to suggest they close in the first instance. A complete lack of respect towards the profession - particularly primary schools where the public have treated them like babysitters.

Teachers I know have been working their arses off doing lesson plans, video content, uploading to Tapestry every day, terrified of schools opening prematurely and the virus spreading, them and the kids taking the virus home and killing their parents/grandparents.

But of course, the government needs their babysitters to get the economy moving again.

Disgusting.

The pandemic is being "managed" by a cabinet of incompetents....

Grant Shapps...."recycled spiv"
Raab....."a mechanism for making bozo appear incompetent"
Hancock...."a minister lab-grown by scientists from only enthusiasm and loyalty"

lol lol lol .....Satire btw
