Or perhaps the Guardian could suggest we just do what the Government have said, instead of trying to undermine it every step of the way....

"Yesterdays advice from dear leader was clearest yet. All hail Boris. We ask no questions and make no criticism because everything he say is correct and perfect."

That's not what newspapers are for.

So Hancock reckons there could be a vaccine by Autumn?

Didn't that butcher promise anti-body testing for everyone by...erm...last month?

He's a clown fighting for his job....he'd be fighting for his 'kin life if I had me hands round his scrawny neck.

do you want a second lockdown?

I wasn’t a big fan of the first lockdown, but that was the advice so we went along with it and observed it scrupulously. Now we have more advice and I will do what I am being advised. Meanwhile, millennials in their thousands have been throwing BBQ’s, playing football in the parks and generally not giving a toss. Of course now that further advice is being given to get them back at work, they, and those of them in the media, are crawling over the meaning of every word and syllable and attempting to deliberately act stupid and not understand what they are being told. There has been a very definite generational response to this and I’m afraid the younger generations haven’t covered themselves in glory...

lol

China have tested 5 million of Wuhan's 11 million residents and now they'll test the other 6 million over the next 10 days.

Meanwhile, the UK Banana Republic have tested on average 70,000 per day...and only that amount if people can drive out to a remote location.

You would think it would be the common sense thing to do, hopefully he will be more alert to such questions in the future...

It's a pity he, Johnson, Raab, Dorries, Vallance, Whitty, Cummings et al weren't more alert and followed their own advice and guidance; two meter social distancing rule, wash hands regularly, catch it, bin it, kill it etc..Then maybe they wouldn't have caught the virus. This next phase of their experiment - relax 'lockdown' and therefore let the virus rip through the population again to 'achieve' herd immunity is reckless as it was at the start of this.

Do you really trust any word that comes from China though?

I think a second lockdown is inevitable even if we stayed in this lockdown for another 3 weeks before easing mate.

It honestly wouldn’t have been. If we had an effective public health agency there is no reason why we should have had this lockdown, never mind a second one.

Once they decided to lock us down in March, they could have used these two months to set the initial part of one up and have it staffed, trained and ready to go now.
