Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

Everyone, pretty much, use the sprays. Everyone observes the 2 metre rule and one way system in Tescos, (dont have one at Sainsburys), even the butcher in the high street has put tape on the pavement for queuing, and has screens in the shop. Only 1 person in the shop at any time.

Its utterly normal to us.

That said, I am pretty confident that deaths from cycling accidents will spike pretty soon. Its like France.
The vast majority of fracture injuries in the Liverpool area have come from falling off bikes.

So many people getting on bikes and falling off them, far more than ever before. So it can't be chalked down to cyclists having accidents.

Probably more like everyone who bought a bike to flounce lockdown and realised it's not as easy as it was when they were 10 lol

My office overlooks the high street and more and more people are about every day, to the point that you'd struggle to believe there were any restrictions in the last few days. I drove past a park on the way home yesterday and the car park was rammed and there were a group of blokes having a kick around, loads walking their dogs and kids playing in the park.

I've seen community support officers approach groups of people in town and have a laugh and a joke and then just leave them sat there enjoying the sun rather than move them on. I appreciate it's a fine balance but there's plenty of people clearly taking the piss still, they'll probably be the same people whining about a lockdown extension without an ounce of self awareness.
Exactly. I feel like I'm a broken record, but each day I am seeing an ever increasing number of people undertaking in flagrant breaches of the rules.

Honestly, I wish it would absolutely chuck it down and the temperature rapidly lower because people are becoming jaded and all the more fuelled by the sun.

In fact, I’ve came home to our drive, which has H-markings, partially blocked by three doors down with the usual suspects of her mum, dad and sister.

There they were having a BBQ, nice few drinks and a pleasurable family afternoon. A blunt FRO and off they went without a shred of guilt or compassion.

My local park

Looks like next week is going to be half the temperature of this week. (UK)
I sincerely hope it is. The snippets coming from the government aren't helping because people have become disenchanted with the numbers and the restrictions.

In a way, that's natural; however, the severity of the situation, which is still significant, needs to be made clear as day and the authorities given more freedom to act.

They talk about slowly opening things up and keeping social distancing in place, in the last week I've seen organised queues outside the banks descend into pretty much a free for all and barely a metre between people and a couple of people having an argument with security at Iceland cos they dared to shut at 5pm to allow NHS staff in. We've got a long long way to go whilst people continue to be selfish tosspots.
