What's your job? Are you getting paid?
I work on a nuclear site but yes, still at full pay working from home.

I'm not sure why people think Ireland is doing well, it's been a complete and utter farce. I'm my opinion we started off well getting schools closed early and cancelling St Patricks Day activities, but it's been a complete disaster since then. After the Ireland V Italy game was cancelled the thousands of Italians who'd booked their flights were allowed into the country no questions asked not even minimal screening, off they went on the p1ss for a few days, same with the crowds that went to Cheltenham came home and went straight through the airport. Then there was the advice to keep visiting elderly relatives in nursing homes, this advice was only changed after it was too late. The backlog of testing had people waiting 5 weeks for results some people never got their results. Really the only thing that stopped us being the worst effected country in Europe is the population density being so low. Complete and utter shambles, and people think we've done well, we are in the top 10 for deaths and infections per capita in the world. I think the misconception that we've done well is from people's inability to adjust for population size and just look at the numbers and say, "we are doing great we had 60 deaths today at least it's not as bad as UK they had 600 deaths today" well Yea dumbass they have about 12 times our population I'd expect there to be more.
Initially I had praised our response but looking back it's been disaster after disaster, don't let anyone tell you that Ireland has done a good job.
I've been way out of the COVID loop for a couple of weeks now. Was there any important updates on lockdown easing recently?
Nothing at all mate, we`ll find on Sunday.
Apparently they ordered the wrong masksUnlike the tons of PPE flown in from Turkey 4000 gowns not fit for purpose- what a bungling government department we have it's now in a warehouse unusable - heads should roll - but they won't ........
And the vintners association want to open the pubs next month as well. The absolute scandal of care homes being ignored also. To be fair, we've not had a functioning government for 80 odd days.I'm not sure why people think Ireland is doing well, it's been a complete and utter farce. Plans been leaked in media overnight about the step plans over the next few months. Not much to change on Monday other than possibly allowing exercise more than once a day. The final stage of the plan for gyms, crowds etc isn't until October so looks fairly gradual.
Although could all be rubbish as its only press reports. Boris to announce it all on Sunday.
Just wanna know when I can get a haircut tbh.
Ah good. I was at one point listening to the update every evening but trying to distance myself now. (no pun intended)

.....which ever way we consider these ‘league tables’, they are a reflection of how the pandemic has been handled in this country.
Tory’s and Tory voters will play them down but would rejoice in them if they were positive. Tory and Tory voters would highlight them as disastrous if Labour was in power.
They can’t be dismissed. Even if we live on a crowded island, they are still very poor. Look beyond your politics, listen to those on the front-line and it’s been poorly managed.
Was he propping up the end of your bar with a basket of meat during your lock in ? lol lol
