Stop taking the P anyway we are still in the EU.....?we have not left as yet - just post on the Brexit thread OK........

Not to speak for him i think the point he was trying to make was joey that you seem to agree that this government are making a balls of things therefore you must have concerns that they can handle anything especially things so important made doubly so given the huge crisis we find ourselves in . That’s not rehashing the Brexit debate just commenting on the professionalism of those in power .

conversations are often fluid and can evolve to topics that might not strictly adhere to what you consider relevant otherwise it’d only be to stray into inbound Uk flights And jokes about @Bruce Wayne and @COYBL25

I don’t think we’re the only country that this has happened too.

I know it happened a lot in Czech. It shouldn't really be a surprise, as the demand for it around the world has ballooned, so it's highly likely that you'll have a lot of new entrants into the market, who rightly or wrongly, won't be able to produce it to the same standard, whether due to a lack of expertise, a lack of plant, or simply a greater willingness to rip people off. I have no idea quite how much the global market for PPE has grown, but have seen estimates that it's gone up considerably in a very short space of time. It's inevitable that there were going to be issues. Heck, we saw with the supermarkets what happens when demand rises a lot in a short space of time.

The media are absolutely going after that Ferguson bloke from SAGE , for whatever reason and whatever agenda it’s open season on him it seems .
He's a nice distraction and a good scapegoat. Matt Hancock saying he thought he should be prosecuted, on the same day as they roll out Robert Jenrick (who has twice broken lockdown rules) to do the media, tells you everything.

exactly. I’m not a tin foil hat conspiracy theorist but looking at the plethora of articles online about Ferguson it’s hard to think there isn’t something at play , it might just be to distract from the figures or it could be with the intention of discrediting him in future . Certainly seems to be a Real hatchet job .

It's perfectly reasonable to presume that the focus on the promotion of 'personal distance' and 'no crowds' is a tactic being put in place in an attempt to scupper the inevitable public disturbances in the wake of this.

Theres going to be families of the unnecessarily dead, the masses of unemployed and young people with diminished futures all looking for answers and action.

Anyone but the Government...

It's sorted thanks. Amazing what you can do when you prepare adequately and give something the necessary attention it deserves...
Unlike the tons of PPE flown in from Turkey 4000 gowns not fit for purpose- what a bungling government department we have it's now in a warehouse unusable - heads should roll - but they won't ........
