Been musing the pub thing for a while. (My mate has recently sold his).

Thing is, with a restaurant you could have a booking system, perhaps 2 services an evening, social distancing pretty easily. First service given 90 minutes, second service then comes in.

With pubs, folk tend to linger in them. So queuing outside till someone leaves is a non starter. Like would you think phoning a pub to book a 90 minute stay in one would work? It might do, but thats what would need to happen.

Think thats a cultural step too far for most of us.

This seems to be the way throughout Europe... My girlfriend is back at work in her school with the kids of frontline workers. We can have groups of up to 4 with no distancing now. From next week the shops can open. The week after you can visit each others houses. Word is that cafes and restaurants can open in June with a maximum number per Sq. Metre.

It will be nice to have some normality back but still, wouldn't surprise me if a second wave is the result of it.

There's a square of live music places here, they've all hilariously recategorized themselves as DIY centres and garden centres this week. I've got a few shows booked in June and July but I'm fairly sure they won't be happening at least until the autumn.

Social distancing or not, liberation day will be bedlam.

Same here. Basic mobile phone which I keep in the car in case of breakdown. Never use it otherwise.

Do you check the battery regularly
Also does the credit expire if not used in a certain time period

17 years ago Sara cov 1 started in China from bats apparantly.

Now sars cov 2 has started in China from bats apparantly.

My village has never had a bus.

Tractors a gogo, but no buses.

My mate owns the local butcher shop, and he gets all his stuff, eggs included, from local sources, his lamb comes from my village. He has stayed open, and invested in a bigger van so he can deliver far more stuff to local folk. He is cheaper, (and way better), than your wonderful supermarket, he employs about 8 folk in the shop/butchery, and by him staying open, the local farms and dairies and that have a customer for their produce. (which would otherwise rot)

You should applaud these people. But you wont.
