From what they were telling me each NHS trust has a department called resilience that are responsible for the PPE in a crisis, please bear in mind the convo was a few hours ago and I am now 12 beers deep.

First I've drank in about a month so I'm liable to post even more garbage than normalbeen stowing away in a pub, ey???
They are both truths, though.
The main reason for there being a difference is probably that in a pandemic there isn't going to be the capacity to determine whether most people / the bloke died from his known heart condition or COVID, so the state cannot say for certainty which is which (especially given that this hits people with known conditions worse).
Oh please. Just look at the net increase in deaths compared to the 5 year average, for the weeks since COVID took hold here.

Here is our local oneJust how do you police it?
I find the Spanish way of fines for people who have been going outside (until now) - some of these may have lost their incomes - absolutely disgusting for example.
I went into the ASDA near me for the first time in about a month yesterday. I've had no reason to go so haven't been. Loads of people wearing masks, but then not following the arrows or staying 2m apart.
God knows.
He’s hunting for headlines, nothing more. He loves the limelight and will do anything to get himself talked about.
Yes the government need to be held to account but let them finish answering a question and then dissect the answer.

Has anyone checked to see what Antarctica are doing? Looks like there are no cases reported there!
You would have to autopsy everyone who died with a suspected coronavirus case - there would not be anywhere near enough coroners even in places with relatively low outbreaks. And it assumes you get consent from family which is by no means a given and also requires manpower. But why not exactly?
Surely part of managing a pandemic is to use actual information and not guess work?
When you run something as big as this on may be the number rather than is the number then it's false grounding. Sure there is a pandemic to manage here but how do you manage numbers like the government set out last week , if you are guessing cause of death?
Counting infection rates means nothing when you aren't testing the entire population. Counting any death and discarding the norm is just , for want of a better word , making it up. Especially when people die from these symptoms Evey single day of the year.
The figures may not vary too much , or there could be significant drops, who am I to say either side of that coin.
But in the bigger picture , if this was any other country we were talking about doing this , peoples opinions would be slightly different. So many people are quick to try and call out China for lying about their figures , what's the difference with the UK inflating theres?
I'm not denying there has been an increase significantly. Said it before a post or so up.
You are confusing questioning the numbers with denial, which is certainly not what I am doing.
Read the order - mask advised for exercise but not mandatory. Turn up to the grocery store - different story.so fining and imprisoning people... police state (though guess you'd get a warning first?)
obviously I'm not 100% sure how it is over your way, Legs, but given i'm going to be surviving off my Universal Credit allowance come this time next month, if I got fined for going on a run without my mask on, I'd be kicking off
Read the order - mask advised for exercise but not mandatory. Turn up to the grocery store - different story,
There is a theory that there are virus’s caught in the ice of Antartica and the poles that haven’t been widespread on earth in 100s of millions of years, the theory goes that if global warming continues to melt the ice sheets we could see the releasing of these ancient virus‘s that we wouldn't have immunity around.

...and they huddle closely together. Think about humans there as well, how much room realistically is there in an igloo?Surprising, seeing as penguins can't cough into elbows....
I was just curious. Each will have an EPRR function, but they won't necessarily be responsible for PPE procurement. From what they were telling me each NHS trust has a department called resilience that are responsible for the PPE in a crisis, please bear in mind the convo was a few hours ago and I am now 12 beers deep.
Jesus, I was messing about, but that's a theory I'd forgotten about. Sobering thought.
