Not really. It just suits his political agenda to believe that. If Corbyn won the last election he would be blaming the Chinese too.

I've not said this before but sometimes I wish that Labour had won the last election and were in charge of managing this crisis. Not because I believe they would be performing much better (they would have the same logistical problems and issues of quality of permanent government depts), but because the country would be a lot more unified behind them in tackling this monster

Are you sure mate? I think there was a lot more hatred dished out towards the likes of Corbyn than the current government. I think it would've been worse myself.

They did as well they have now introduced deaths per million graph, they should included Liechtenstein and Andorra. Shameful spinning just cover there incompetents.

Agenda, agenda, agenda. If you had the slightest clue you’d have noticed that I’ve been criticising the Chinese government and it’s antics for years (and over this specific issue since it started).

As for the second point, I’d love to think that but the reality is that a Labour government would be facing far more press attacks and encouraged civil disobedience than ours is.

not a chance that some of the mismanagement wouldn’t have been ridiculously jumped upon by the media if the roles were reversed . Let’s be honest even the likes of the DM and telegraph have been semi-critical of the government so if they’d had a free run at a traditional enemy they’d have opened up . I think about Diane abbot And her reception which still perpetuates and then some of the issues around figures during this. The Turkish flight issue would have been front and centre for days and the herd immunity certainly wouldn’t have been glossed over .

interestingly I think a labour government would perhaps have faced the most criticism over the lack of checks and quarantine on flights . Given the natural opponents and support base of the parties I think that would have been a huge stick to beat a labour government.

its guesswork as to who would do a better job, I know what I think but I firmly believe the media would be giving a labour government a significantly harder time . If for no other reason than its where their loyalties traditionally lay .

So you think if roles were reversed and Labour had made the same poor decisions then the right wing press and the numerous right wing mouthpieces on social media etc, wouldn’t currently be crucifying them for it? Are you actually being serious?

Given that the media seem to upset so many people on here, I really don't know why so many seem to read/watch what they produce? It just seems to be whipping up anger. There are lots of reputable, non-partisan sources of information about the virus that mean you don't need to set eyes on a broadsheet or tv news channel. Those sources are by and large curating and filtering information on your behalf, which if you're time crunched can be great, but if you've got enough time to post religiously on here, I'd imagine that doesn't qualify for most of us.

It was very dark days in British politics when we under Conservative Governance allowed uncle XI the full state visit The policing and security round that visit was on the scale of what China and North Korea would put together so desperate was the Government not to upset China there certainly not going to be any inflatable memes. And Johnson has been no better with his kowtowing in his various performance for the Conservatives...

If Corbyn got in...

He would have done what Italy did.

Backroom deals galore and stakes all over the place given to China...

With Corbyn praising the Chinese, stating that no one is to blame and how theyve given free medical equipment to him and how amazing they are.

General Public praising him etc...then the papers leaking that all these deals with China for ventilators and masks have come at a great cost as hes given the Chinese all the goodies incl 5G and all the cream.

There isnt a cat in hells chance Corbyn would be standing up to China now...his supporters would all be mimicking him as well.

Has he disappeared yet?

Not sure on the new labour leader, or Johnson

But its pretty acceptable that @peteblue can be anti china and pro British Government.

I find it quite surprising for anyone to have an opposing view.

Blaming Corbyn and Labour for stuff that hasn’t happened apart from in your imagination, now that’s special.

One of the daily mouthpieces nmust surely get confused one day and get the silly management speak mixed up and come out with "The government is straining every sinew to ramp up the deaths".
