Yeah I dont think thats correct.

As far as im aware no SARS vaccine was ever made, due to it disappearing and all the research stopped due to nobody caring cos its gone.

Treatment for SARS
There's currently no cure for SARS, but research to find a vaccine is ongoing.

You are right. It never made it through the last trials. I got that bit confused.

My mum has.
It didn’t go up her nose. But it did make her wretch as they had to scrape quite for down her esophagus.
It sounded pretty uncomfortable.

I’ve been tested as my wife works for the NHS and our daughter had displayed a symptom (fever) so we were self isolating.

it’s a swab of your nostrils that tickles a little and a slightly more invasive swab down your throat (I gagged, the wife apparently didn’t!)

All results came back negative, though by the time we were finally tested it was 12 days after the initial symptom so we weren’t surprised.

Interesting. She didn’t mention the nostril bit. Just the throat part.

Now starting to see the mental health repercussions for those on the frontline.

They will have some truly awful visions in their minds for years to come.
I hope they will all get the aftercare that they need once this awful tragedy is over.
My sister works in an Adult ICU on Long Island while this is going on
While not as bad as NYC she said some of the thing she has seen will haunt her for years
She normally works in a Children's ICU and while children dying is hard at least you can hold their hand all the way through.
This disease is a whole new level of nasty

Business and employers have to get the second one right, the first and third are easy but if they start going on about slackers / people taking the piss as normal then we are all screwed.

I think I am struggling to understand reality these days. It's like that Adam Curtis documentary.

When did the health service become a charity rather than, you know, a fully funded public service that we (well not me, but y'know) pay for through general taxation?

Bit concerning about this in Germany

The last few days over here people have seemed to be a lot more relaxed after Merkel announced some relaxation of the restrictions. That coupled with a ridiculous month of sunny and 20+ degree weather that I've never witnessed in Germany before ever. Not in April anyway.

This is the U.K. mate. Half the country would rather pay for a 99 year old veteran to walk round his garden, than pay a bit more tax so he didn’t have to.

Here in Belgium with the announcement that they were easing lockdown from 4th of May, the parks were full at the weekend. Luckily it's pissing it down for the next 10 days. I walked to the post office yesterday and the streets were deserted again.
