They are just trying to delay the spread to try get to warmer seasonal weather but I don't think that's going to happen, you can see from the graph I posted we are in a very steep trend now and that will just increase.

Up your Vitamin C and Zinc intake, don't touch your face when out and about in public places until you've washed your hands and hope for the best, 95% of us who get it, it will just be a decent bout of Flu symptoms for a week or two.

It's not that kids get ill; it's that they are carriers.

One kid gets ill, has next to no symptoms, but then infects a class of 30, who also have no symptoms, who then go home and promptly kill nanny and granddad.

The only argument against closing schools is childminding for core professions like doctors and nurses. Apart from that, it makes total sense to close them. They are daily mass gatherings.

LBC presenter offered a free ticket to the Cheltenham races tomorrow- investigated the toilet washing facilities and turned it down utter disgrace lack of hygiene in the food tents toilets etc .......this has to stop......big events later I feel surely will happen behind closed doors ......money over a deadly virus should be common sense surely?

Could be the last weekend of crowds at the Footy mate, they are trying their best to put the cat back in the bag for a bit but the way the cases are multiplying the cat is never going back in the bag.

Biggest increase in UK cases yesterday in a single day, 80.

By all accounts this is very much the same as the flu that swept through in 1918 regarding infection/fatality rate etc.

Give this time and it may well have a similar rate to the seasonal flu.

A lot of scaremongering going on in the media. A recent report indicated here in Australia that 80,000 people will be hospitalized. I mean that is simply outlandish.

The vast majority of those infected here are being initially assessed by the local GP and then sent home for isolation. I also heard on the radio that some people have likely been infected, however their symptoms etc were not severe enough and they have recovered without medical attention.

Like anything, I'm of the opinion to be on alert but not alarmed.

If your part of the NHS has run out of the stuff, I would suggest they havnt ordered enough. Granted, the manufacturer MIGHT supply Boots and the NHS, with different brands/packaging, but that said, not many folk working in the NHS are washing their hands any more than they did last month.

Forgot to mention, apparently the supplier was out of stock (not sure why), so the trust have decided to make their own.

This is not flu though ...

A lot of scaremongering..... this thing that's killed a few thousand is the same as that thing that killed about 15 million.

Erm

Warm weather in Iran has not made a diddly squat to the spread of this virus......
