Probably better looking at the hospitalitization rates. Anyone with this has been whisked off to hospital, then it becomes a bit less dangerous than the flu.yes. just looked at the numbers again and India only reports 50 cases. that can't be correct. but even if the mortality rate is 1% (which is still 10x flu), if the contagion rate (?) is 2.5, or roughly 2x the flu rate, then it will spread twice as quickly and ten times as much will die. these are big numbers. US flu cases are estimated at 34 MM for the current flu season. 2x spread would be roughly 75 MM covid19 cases in the US. At a 1% mortality rate that's 750,000 deaths. But "it's only the flu."
