The EDL brigade will be fuuummmin' at having to wear something covering the face. I'd expect a number of European countries might have to change existing legislation before encouraging the use of face masks.

Its actually a huge shame that more of these knuckle headed gammons aren't falling down with the bloody virus!

Has anyone else been affected by the SSP this month in wages?, think it’s been a little unfair for me.

Working in food production Ive have to carry on in work with it being more busier than ever, staying late every day. Last month a member of my household got a temperature and it was in my duty to inform my workplace.

Took a £650 loss in wages because of being forced to self isolate at home for 14 days, to which has resulted in me working 6 days a week now to recoup what I lost.

On top of that there being no restrictions put in place whatsoever apart from sitting apart In the canteen on breaks, people just coming face to face with you as normal.

Farmers plead poverty but these guys get paid not to by the EU.

Farmers can leg it.
The problem for many farmers is that for certain periods of the year they require additional workers but then for other periods there is nothing to do. This has been the case for centuries. Most of the workers will be booked through agencies.
To be honest, I’ve done this kind of temp work before and quite enjoyed it. You generally come out with a load of cash as you don’t have the chance to spend anything.

He's come out with some absolute whoppers in his speech.

"We've defied so many predictions. We did not run out of ventilators or ICU beds. We did not allow our NHS to collapse, and on the contrary we have collectively shielded our NHS"
In fairness they are all true. And if you go back 4 weeks there were real fears that our hospitals would be completely overrun. So they are all positives.

What was actually poor about his speech was what was NOT included in it. The death rates, the continued high new infection rate, the outbreak in our nursing and care homes, the struggle to increase the daily testing, the continued struggle to provide adequate PPE, amongst others. Whilst I understand his wish to keep his first speech back a positive one, all these issues need discussing in an open and transparent manner if he wants to get the country more supportive.

If you can find out how they measure cases and deaths too, you're a better man than me. The prime minister owns the biggest media company, with the Chinese recently buying another.

I tend to take official stuff with more salt than the EU stole from @Joey66
I will need salt to sprinkle on my webs wonderful cos lettuce my wif and I have just priced out 30 young plants into plugs in our greenhouse using a dibber....
