It’s the R0 number your looking for lads to make a judgement on the success of your lockdown.

I haven’t seen one for the UK is it in the public domain, they should be tracking it?
An awful lot of our figures are not in the public domain, I'm sure there is a reason but we certainly aren't communicating figures as publicly as other nations. Are you getting transmission rate figures for anywhere else mate, would be interested to see the comparisons

There you go lads, that’s positive.

However the comments wouldn’t fill me with confidence.

Yeah, even though we may be past the peak, our number of deaths remains shockingly high. There is a lot of work to do before we can even contemplate relaxing lockdown.

But the daily death figure we see is from deaths ranging from different days in April, the actual graph showing actual daily deaths shows its decreasing but they don't want us to see that

What's happening in Ireland? I haven't read an awful lot about it - which suggests that Ireland are doing better than the UK?

Just general research and curiosity to be honest mate, working in health care myself I’m very interested in how others are managing things and lessons we can learn here. There is some great research, findings and analysis out there if you stay away and mistrust the general media outlets, working in health care your used to reading vast reaserch and articles.

Im a little cautious on R0 numbers myself, our is gone to .5, but I think it’s ancpetodeloy far higher, it’s as good as your testing and some other factors really, but it’s probably the best we can do with the data we have.

It’s useful in judging lock down, before our lockdown our R0 was 4.7, it’s .5 now. While that’s as good as our testing it does indicate a surpression in exponential growth. Same for the UK. That actually quite a positive number for the UK, but people know my feeling on the areas not included in data for the UK. That said NH are different from the community in a sense, as they are controlled environments and clusters can be shut down (if identified), as opposed to me and you walking around asymptomatic giving it to 4 or 5 people.

Unreal that scumbag Patel deflecting about her and her government's criminal acts by highlighting the acts of petty criminals.

Bit confused why people are shocked that the PMs chief advisor attends SAGE. How could a chief advisor do their job properly if they didnt attend the most important meetings.

The more logical question is how on earth did Cummings become chief advisor
BECAUSE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE AN INDEPENDENT SCIENTIFIC GROUP, NOT ONE APPRAISED BY A 'KIN TRAINSPOTTER TO MAKE POLICY.

It's a group set up to advise government. It's ridiculous to suggest the PMs chief advisor won't be there to hear what's being said.

The point is that the person in the role is incompetent, not that advisors shouldn't be there. How can you advise if you dont listen to scientists.

That’s easy for you to say....

It's up to the scientists to make their conclusions and take them to the PM and his Cabinet. That's what being "guided by science" is all about, isn't it?

If it's about a Spad like that 'kin Nesferatu psycho drawing the conclusions, guess what happens? You get a dogs breakfast of a strategy...which is what's happened.

I reckon Boris sends him to these meetings just to wind Davek up.....Boris has been popcorning him beautifully over the last few weeks......

The other point that I would add is based on experience. Medics, like most professions, speak their own language. When I was being told about Mrs R and what was going on, I would repeat back to the Docs, in plain english, cos I had to explain to other folk.
