That slide on global deaths and the curve is a lie. Apart from the US, every European country includes those that have died in care homes and at home. The UK is next to the US for deaths in hospital. France, Spain and Italy have between 45% and 55% deaths occurring not in hospitals.

Yeah, and JVT said just that, and that the data was being collected.

The Scientist said that the graph showing the middle group of European Countries, France etc, is only showing deaths in hospital, so not sure where you are getting your data from....

Well he managed to win an overwhelming majority and become PM. In my whole life I can only think of two Labour leaders to have done similar....

This isn't a party politics thing Pete. It's a competence thing. He won an overwhelming majority against the weakest opponent imaginable.

Why do you regard him as a big beast? What, in his career, has especially impressed you about his leadership, or any other skills? Would you hire him?

He did a decent job as London Mayor I understand....but best ask our London posters...

I think France have started adding them in the last couple of weeks mate, hence their numbers have jumped radically - they didn't initially. They have appeared in some studies done in the last few days detailing a 40-50%, in Italy, Spain, France, Belgium and Ireland showing 43-57% of all virus deaths are in nursing homes and or other community settings as an European average.
