My gym used to have social distance methods in before this lockdown..

I agree with the damage to economy being too much to handle if keeps carrying on, depression, suicide, etc etc

Keep over 60s out of harm way, let the younger keep the economy going to some degree..

Yes people will catch it and have problems but MOST,vast majority wont..,

The only option imo

This will be how it happens in most countries.

But right now - and I know you're not saying otherwise - emphasis is on making sure the health systems can handle it until there's a vaccine.

It's another month at least but then we might start to see some measures eased off.

Here`s @Joey66 missus list of expenditure when this is all over :

New boiler suit : £15
New work boots : £30
New welding mask: £40
New work gloves : £10
New mig welder: £500
New sweeps brush £100

Good job Dyson parts are in demand for ventilators.
Reminds me of a mate during my time as an apprentice. A lecturer came into the classroom carrying a new pair of steelies and my mate says "nice boots Mr W, for the wife are they? We all laughed and Mr W became rather irked and started going large on my mate, who proceeded to smile. Mr W then says stop smirking lad how can I give yer a proper bollocking while you're smirking at me, which just set everybody off then.

The NI assembly announced the lockdown is continuing for another 3 weeks, which is up to at least 7 May.

I presume the rest of UK will be doing same because the assembly would need approval from the government. Not that it's any surprise like.

Interesting stuff coming out of Germany. Current restrictions to be extended till May 3rd with some small exceptions. Shops smaller than 800 square metres will be allowed to open provided they can enforce very strict hygiene measures and limits to the amount of people in store at any one time. Hairdressers will be allowed to open from the beginning of May provided they can enforce the same measures. There seems to be some disagreement between the German regions about when to reopen schools.
