She's deffo got it and has been quite poorly.
I've no idea on asthma, but her doctor seems to have played a blinder as the virus was kicking off a few weeks ago and increased steroids and the inhaler thing she uses. This has helped massively so far.
She wants to get back to work asap once better as thinks you build up some immunity.
What struck me yesterday was her saying that some colleagues were scared of doing certain rounds now. I didn't press on this, but if carers are scared then that's not a good sign of how it's going.
I'm back at work tomorrow after the 14 days advised isolation, temp is steady 37.5, and that's ok I believe now. At least i will get the shopping i need !
Thanks again for asking mate.
Jeepers mate, thats awful to hear, send her all our very best wishes. We cant afford anything to happen to heros like her and hopefully it will be a mild strain she may have gotten. If you can, concrete boot her, this is a nasty virus, from ive seen you can begin to think you've turned a corner and then it can flatten you again like a wave, its a snakes and ladders type of thing. So if she starts to feel a bit better try and get her to sit tight as she might not be over the hump and she sounds like one who will be itching to get back, it will all still be there when she gets back, its here for a while. The very best to her and your Dad. Hearing of all the things she did and was doing, kind of spurned me on to be honest, going in and out of work myself, you can tell her that if it gives her a bit of a boost in anyway. We have to mind the good ones. The very best to her and your Dad.
Sounds like an excellent job by the GP, you cant buy a good GP in all honesty, some are just class and if you have a good one hold on to them.
I can understand where the carers are coming from, its not nice seeing colleagues going out sick and then having to step forward yourself, the stuff you said about the PPE was a worry, so i dont blame them. Behind every health care worker there will be someone they have at home, they will be terrified to pass the virus on to if they get it. Its probably the most stressful thing i find, not getting it, but passing it on to those you care about.
You take her handy mate, mind your own health, give yourself every chance, be at your second best and hit the road if your not feeling top trumps.
