I trust our 'experts' more than you mate. No offence like.

None taken :)

I meant more in the sense that even yesterday in the briefing the journos were asking Whitty/Sir Patrick (forget his last name) about lockdown measures being lifted as one. Only one of them, the guy from Sky News, asked about lifting them in stages and even then his question was directed at Raab who just gave the stock answer.

While I do obviously trust and am following the government advice, we also shouldn't forget it is these experts that got it so badly wrong back in Feb/start of March. Surely we should - whenever the time comes which may be weeks, may be months off - not just open everything up again at once? That's common sense, isn't it?

"ill informed" is getting bandied around quite a lot.

South Yorkshire Police have also apologised after a video circulating on social media appears to show an officer reprimanding a man for using his front lawn.

The video, which was originally posted on Facebook, shows an officer telling a man "you cannot come on your front garden".

The force said on Twitter, where the video has so far been viewed almost 300,000 times, that the officer in the video had good intentions but was "ill-informed".

"We've spoken to the officer concerned and made our approach absolutely clear. Again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused."

I expect she might have spoken to many more people before she was corrected who might have lacked the 'wherewithal' to protest and done as demanded. . it took this bloke to film her...

Well it's not what we did when I worked on that epidemic in that place, but we might have just got lucky. The bloke from Sky wasn't with us on that mission so I'm sure it must have been luck.

Its the constant drip drip that does my head in.

I had a very simple list of stuff to do when I got up at 9. It went like so

Coffee
Watch rerun of 2016 Paris Roubaix.
Guide Everton to champions league on FM
Clean bike
Beer in the sun

So far I've had a coffee, done the washing up, emptied out the cellar, laid out all the damp stuff in the cellar to dry, called the building owner about the leak in the cellar, done some washing, folded some other washing and now I have to go the butcher.

Nightmare.

Show her a list that includes sawdust and see if she gets the hint.

I think we've got crossed wires here, Bruce?

I'm just pointing out it's surely going to be a better approach that whenever the time comes to get society back up and running, we don't just release it like a valve and have a huge surge in the space of a few days?

That time isn't yet and probably won't be for at least another month at the very best, I know.

I have absolutely no idea mate. None at all. I read stuff, but Witty et al have decades of experience. They have all sorts of data you and I don't have. I'm in no place to question his judgement tbh.
